I could do with a roadie on Sat29th July 06

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I could do with a little help on Saturday 29th July 2006 at the RAC Club in Epsom. I need to get the gear set up by 6pm, and I think we finish at about midnight. You would need to be dressed smart and aged over 21 for this one. The work involves helping me load and unload the car into the venue, setting up/dismantling, and taking requests during the evening.

There's about £50 up for grabs, and I'll pay for the drinks.. Anyone up for it?

Cheers,

Brian

After just reading the topic Here there's a guy called Richard who'll help you out.

You just need to send the £50 to CP to be added to the holiday fund http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

Brian,

I am at work on Saturday so am unable to help, but if you have a similar situation in the future and you can give a bit more warning, I would be willing to come up from Devon for the night to see how you "big/old/experienced (delete as required)boys" do it.

I am over 21 and scrub up okay, don't smoke or drink when I am driving.

Eddie.

Eddie

...right...you grab the front wheels, I'll grab the back ones...

Alas, I am unable to assist as I'm already out - however, after watching DJ LouLou demonstraiting her excellent roadie skills at SEDA last Sunday, I dont think that you need to look too far... OK, she'll need some major high heels to pass for 21...but... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

You might have to assist LouLou with the L1 poles though - one of the Twins has a vertical radiator shaped dent in their mullets from being too "Locally positioned" to your L1 while LouLou was ejecting the top bit.... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif

(Mind you, you dont need an L1 and a motive to want to clop one of the twins after a few hours... ) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/bash.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fish.gif

http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/laugh.gif Sorry about that!

She surprised me with everything she moved! She was dead keen to come, and really enjoyed it too! She is way too young for 99% of my gigs, but she has been out with me on 2 or 3 gigs where we knew the client personally, and did really well, even doing a 'mini set'. She did a whole hour at our 40th a couple of years ago when she was 8.
