I was listening to Zane Lowe's excellent show on the way home, he inteviewed Carl Cox who requestd he play Kool & the Gang - Summer Madness.

That is one classic summer track - I'd forgotten all about it.

 

That rising synth reminds me of another (chart) track from the late seventies - can't think of it for now, but I have it somewhere on 12". I'll have a gander......

It might be a 'B' side of something.....

Tune!!

 

I've played it a couple of times in recent weeks as background during the meal music. Suits the mood perfectly on hot summer afternoons.

Both darned good anyhow, but I prefer the Azymuth one.
