djbzentertainment 0
I must confess, i watch it cos the other half is addicted to it, but if i can escape i go upstairs on pc and play. But, last nights was particulary funny when they had the housemates (Pete in particular) doing Big Brother FM radio show. As i am sure you all know he suffers from tourettes and is forever saying the W word involuntarily. So you can imagine what his radio slot was like. Classic! Apparently you can download the radio broadcast from the channel 4 website. Its worth a listen honestly! Bob All stuck together with the finest DJ glue. spinner 0
The original idea was, perhaps, a good one but it has gone on too long. I have watched just a few minutes of it since it began. I get the impression that the current participants want to be noticed or "famous" which is rather sad since, in the process, they appear to have no dignity.
Eskie 0
The most ironic thing about the whole "Reality" TV epidemic is that there's very little actual reality to it at all. I very much doubt that most of those appearing on these shows would really act the way they do on these shows every day without camera's around, so to call it Reality TV is a bit of a misnomer really. I don't hate it, nor want them shot http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/tongue.gif I just think it's a waste of time and can't understand why people watch it http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif seems they're trying to turn the UK into a nation of voyeurs! Anyone else read the book based on the big brother type shows by Ben Elton called "Dead Famous" about 5 years ago? It was very funny and quite a good read. Also, remember the film "Reality Bites" from some time in the mid 90's? One of the characters in the film came up with an idea for a reality type show and at the time I remember thinking it sounded like a crap idea... I very much doubt that most of those appearing on these shows would really act the way they do on these shows every day without camera's around, so to call it Reality TV is a bit of a misnomer really. I agree totally. In fact, I wouldnt be at all surprised to find out that the whole thing is scripted from beginning to end, with several unknown actors and actresses making up the majority of the in-mates - with every action, re-action, comment, back-stab, discussion, argument and poll-result all known and plotted, months in advance. After all, if you're going to spend £millions on a TV show, why risk a load of camera-shy public just sitting there saying and doing nothing - or worse still the whole lot turning out to agree totally with each other viewpoints and the whole thing being one big happy family. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/grouphug.gif Bring back Tales of the Riverbank.... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hug.gif

Paul Smith 0
QUOTE my nephew is one of the directors of bb uk and he is making a mint It is a big money spinner - not only are 30 sec ads in the breaks selling for up to £100,000 but there's also all the revenue from those idiots who phone up to vote. I suspect that this is why they make the series longer, have spin off programs etc. If it works & makes money...........

djbzentertainment 0
Wish i was Mr Endemol. (I think the company that made the program / idea are called Endemol.) And if i am not mistaken they did who wants to be a millionaire and x factor as well amongst loads of others. I reckon well done to them, whether you like any of their programs or not, they certainly know what sells and are probably right now laid back on their 200ft yachts somewhere red hot being waited on hand and foot and in the process of buying another Ferrari cos the ashtrays on the one they bought last week are full.
