Behringer DJX700 Mixer

Recommended Posts

Got one of these yesterday as I aim to build up another set up. Quite like this and may use it with my Pioneer CDJ500 Ltd's and take out the DJM300.

Anyone else got one and what do they think?

I know it's quite a cheap mixer but I read all the reviews before I got it and they were all really good reviews. The only gripe being that you need to mesmorise the on board effects.

Got it for £100 cash too and still boxed etc as it was an unwanted present for someone.

Probably is miles better Brian but isn't there a little difference in the sizes between these mixers, i.e the Behringer is closer in dimensions to the DJM500 & DJM600?

I must admit that I haven't had it out on the road as yet. It fits nicely in my coffin case with the CDJ's as they are big and the DJM300 is a lot smaller.

The quality of the Pioneer is great and the Behringer sounded ok through my home system when I used it yesterday.

As I said, it's to be added to my next set up so it may come out of the box and get used with some Denon's...not sure yet.

Had one of these for 3 years now and used mobile.....only problem is one channel fader is a bit dodgy but this isnt a real problem...apart from that, sound quality is brill, love the effects. Only other critisism is that the faders lack feel but this is something you quickly adjust to.......infact, so impressed, I have now bought more behringer stuff. (oh by the way, i owned a small pioneer before and this is far superior)

Ive retailed the DJX700 for some time. and on the whole behringer products are pretty good for reliability and build - german engineering and all that. however, i see an awful lot of faulty DJX700s. the main ones are the phono outs and the master outs, the Left hand chanels tend to give up easily and the ultra glide faders, i think are ultra glide fore a reason - because they're not made of alot !!!!

on the whole, im disappointed with the reliability of the mixer. however, the DDM4000 (the digital version of the djx700 with midi inter) looks good on face value. i had a go on one at a trade show a while back and it was pretty smart for the 20 mins or so i had to play on it.

looks like its retailing around the £300 and i think it had the potential to be one of the best value for money digi mixers on the market - if its reliable!

I bought a second user DJX700 as a spare a couple of years ago. I also had a DJM600 at the time so maybe the comparison was a little unfair but I found the Behringer sliders very sloppy compared to the Pioneer.

For all I know it may be very good in use but I didn't like the general feel of it. I sold it on.

I've got a djx700 and like it a lot. It is my first proper mixer though. The first one I had was a little Kam silver dwarf that I was given, but my djx700 is great for mixing trance and hard house and the effects add a nice twist. I've only had mine 3 months so I can't really comment on the reliability and longevity.
