brianmole 0
After a heavy weekend, I find myself needing more sleep than I was expecting. I left Maidstone last night at about 11pm having topped up my water in the car, as ominously, a warning "COOLANT LEVEL" was displayed. Five minutes later, message appears again http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hits_the_fan.gif I call out the RAC, and they duly turn up, load up the car, and drive me home. We arrive at 2:00am. As my RAC breakdown service covers recovery and a hire car for 3 days, and I need to be at my desk at 7am, I arrange with them to invoke a hire car by 6am. The RAC arrange a taxi to pick me up at home at 5:30am to take me to the car hire place. So, after 3 hours sleep, I'm up, showered waiting for the taxi. At 5:45, no taxi. I call RAC, they investigate, call me back to say that the car hire company had screwed up something or other. The taxi will be with me shortly. I have to say at this point, that the RAC were very courtious, and professional in dealing with this, and also offered their apologies for the problems with their hire company. As time was running out, they offered to taxi me to work (40 miles, 1+hr), and arrange for the hire car to be delivered here. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif So, after an exciting night and 3 hours sleep, I'm at work only an hour late, and my eyelids are dropping. Keep me AWAKE please http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/laugh.gif The good thing, is that I'll be home at 3:30pm http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sleep1.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sleep1.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sleep1.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sleep1.gif I hope... Gary 0
Ah, I saw you with your head under the bonnet of your car last night and wondered what you were upto. Your car looked a bit like a Honda, so I guessed you were just working of your own Accord. When you've finished playing with all the pretty buttons on your loan Volvo, don't forget to update your signature. (Just precede it with "I had fun at...") http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

ChrisPointon 0
Yeah, all of my problems started with a Vauxhall too http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/014.gif - wait until the ECU fails and you have to remortgage the house to buy a new one http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif QUOTE You mean the Nurburgring? Nurofen might be more useful when he gets the bill.
Gary 0
Brian, just be thankful that you've still got your original car... those three daddy long legs could so easily have had it away... ...had they not triggered the alarm at silly o'clock AM http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif
Paul Smith 0
It's at times like this that being a member of a breakdown organisation and having the full package really pays off http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif Maybe you should've put the water in the radiator rather than the windscreen washer bottle http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif
