Spec me a system

Hi all again thanks for all the advice so far!

If you had £1500 to spend on a complete system what would you buy

there is just one requirement that I need,

The twin cd player will need to be able to play mp3s could any body come up with ideas.

On a previous forum Edbray came up with

a set of 15" 400 watt per side bi-amped polycarbonate active speakers for less than £400 pair (giving you a degree of built in backup), and of a couple of 250 watt moon-flower type lights and a lightstand

so they are options

OK cd player wise take a look at the Citronic MPCD4 as your budget option and the Denon DN-D4500 as the ideal CD player if your budget can go that far, these both have MP3 play back...

 

as for speakers..

 

Alto PS4 HA Active 300+100 12" Bi Amp are £299 each and the protective bag cover is £25 each

 

Stands will set you back about £30-£40

 

and mixer wise I would look and a Citronic 10:4 or denon-X500

No suggestions on the Powered speakers as I don't use them.

I can't comment on most of your purchases but the ELC 24v 250 bulbs seem expensive, hopefully they are the long life ones.

I bought all (95%) of my gear there, and I must say that on balance their prices are pretty good. Don't you agree?

The problem is there is a lot of choices heres a good place to start DJ Equipment it has a list of all equiptment needed and examples for a DJ from amateur to professional.

 

Or just shop around and take advice of the lads and ladys here on DJU

Hi Roy

I must say that I spent many nights looking and reserching equipment on the net on this site and others and Terralec on the whole where to me the best,

I gave them a ring and spoke to a guy called Glyn and he was very very helpfull not at all pushy so I decided to give them the bussiness (Great after sales as well)
