music box 0
Great tune in the right place. yup I do like it.
shakermaker 0
I'm not that keen on Meat Loaf myself although he gets requested a lot. Bat out of hell III is out soon, I got a sampler promo for it the other day. Shakermaker Promotions Indie / Rock & Alternative Specialist (But I can cater for everything else too). dj.silver 0
Meatloaf, for me is a quality act, I've seen him in concert twice and he is the biz. There's a cracking film about his life and he's been through it! Sorry can't remember the name of it, well worth a watch though. I play "By the dashboard light" quite often, now there's a rocker for the girls! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/toot.gif I once read about the evils of heavy drinking ................ so I've stopped reading COPYWIGHT: Elmer Fudd 1956, All wights wesewved. bigMCben 0
I love Meatloaf, some proper roasted potatoes, peas, cabbage, some gravy...............Mmmmm http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/drool.gif
Gary 0
My favourite track from Meatloaf is "Modern Girl"... but of course thats quite low on the list of audience favs....its usually the typical "Bat out of Hell" that gets requested...sometimes "I would do anything for love (but I wont lick that)"...."two out of three ain't bad" etc. I don't think that I've ever been asked for "paradise by the dashboard light". dj.silver 0
Gary, I was asked for it originally by a group (or would that be a grope) of 40 ish year old girls out on a birthday jolly, they all seemed to know the words, singing along merrily and since then it's my 'stock' Meatloaf tune. I once read about the evils of heavy drinking ................ so I've stopped reading COPYWIGHT: Elmer Fudd 1956, All wights wesewved.
shakermaker 0
Paradise by the dashboard light always gets murdered on the Karaoke and I try to steer away from it as it goes on forever and ever and ever and ever etc etc etc (get the point?). Shakermaker Promotions Indie / Rock & Alternative Specialist (But I can cater for everything else too).
BigBen 0
Paradise by the Dashboard Light is a classic from the original Bat Out of Hell album. If the audience is giving off the right vibe then it will get a playing during the buffet or even earlier. If someone does request it at a Karaoke, make sure a few of them get up - not just two. Eight minutes is incredibly boring for everyone else, but quite funny if there are half-a-dozen singing it. [insert quirky comment]

Dave80s 0
"Paradise" seems to have that effect on the girls. I did a wedding where they asked for it as the last tune and the bride and all her mates sang along on the floor....went down great.
Andy Westcott 0
I don't like Meatloaf particularly. I can tolerate and do play 'Dead Ringer For Love', but it's an awful long time since I played 'Paradise By The Dashboard Light' in anger, but I do recall it working well in the mid-eighties. So it still gets played then???? Perhaps I'll have to give it a try. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif I love this bit: STOP RIGHT NOW!!! I GOTTA KNOW RIGHT NOW. Before we go any further do you love me?........ Sums up teenager neivety. (sp?)
