Hi there,

My name is John, I've been Dj'ing now for 17 Years around the towns of Evesham and Pershore in Worcesterhshire. I Dj with three other good friends who treat it as a good night out so its more of a hobby than a career. Bri who our MC and Crx who's our lighting and Sound technician and other DJ. We've had many members who as time has gone by have come and gone. One of the best now Dj's in a Reading Nightclub. (lucky him) But he did start with us when he was 14. I've always loved music and one of the earliest memories i remember is playing my dad's beatles records with a rolled up piece of paper and sewing needle. I dread to think how much there worth now!

Welcome to the forums.

I hope you get something out of it. It's a great place to belong to.

Why don't we start making hellium filled bubble wrap?<P> It would help keep postage costs down.

Hi & welcome. I used to spend a lot of time in Evesham and Pershore when I was younger and it is a lovely part of the country. Thinking about it, it was about 30 years ago when you could have a good night out for £1.50 and still have change left for a packet of No. 6 tips and bus fare home http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif

I'm sure it has changed lots but must put it on my list of places to revisit.

TonyB did you ever visit the marine ballroom when you were there (Northern Nights)

Nooo, used to have familly there so was mainly family visits and a bit of sight seeing. Don't think I was old enough to legally go in a pub at the time!

Ive lived here for 21 years - and i've never heard of the marine ballroom - how ever there was one ballroom in a field that got demolished and turned into the local council offices. maybe it was that. I'll ask around.

DJGio, it was 29 years ago, I spent a lot of time at the Huxleys caravan site, and went there wit the local lads, if i remember right it was the other side of the high street down by town waters, and there was a cracking hot dog van on the high street for when we were going home, lol
