The hall I was looking at is in use every weeknight up till 9pm at the earliest, so that's out of the running now. I'll make some enquiries with fellow Warrington DJ's to see if there's a venue of similar size. The only problem with them might be the cost. High Fidelity 0
QUOTE (Whisky In A Vase @ Oct 18 2006, 06:42 PM) Chorley is also nice this time of year..... I would imagine I can arrnage a room and bar at no cost.... It's the size of the room that matters though, if it's for the purpose of hearing the Bose capabilities and characteristics. The room that I was hoping for holds about 2-300, can't quite remember how many. There is another room that is slightly smaller, but it's upstairs (although there is small lift), but I've no idea what the cost would be. I will have to check. There is also a leisure centre possible that is large, but this has a sound limiter. High Fidelity 0
Right then, after more enquiries, the original room that I thought of is available on the afternoons of Sundays 12th & 26th November. I have checked with Steve and he is available then to bring his Bose up till about 6pm. People managed to get to the DJ Show North on a Sunday afternoon, and this wouldn't be as long a drive as that. Robbie managed it all the way from the South East. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/notworthy.gif Those that have got something on, you've got 3-5 weeks to make alternative arrangements. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif I would hope to negotiate with the secretary that after we have finished in the hall, we would be able to go into the club to carry on if people were staying later. This venue would cost me about £35, which I'm happy to stand, ...... for a few drinks from fellow members. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/whistling.gif The only other venue that I've come up with so far is this one: http://www.daten.co.uk/page2.htm But this would cost £78, which would require some contributions. Also, they haven't been able to confirm yet that it is definitley available. Other Venues that have been mentioned to me by Dan(Disco Direct) and Chris(Disco3000), are not as big, and are upstairs. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fright.gif The 3rd option is to forget about the Bose/photoshoot idea, and just drop back to a social gathering in a pub. So, what would everyone prefer. Let me know your preferences and I'll go with the majority. Quitting Smoking & Drinking doesn't make you live longer It just feels like it.
