High Fidelity 0
Right then, the good news is the venue is booked. Rylands Recreation Club Gorsey Lane, Warrington, Cheshire WA2 7RZ The even gooder news is, the Bose demo is on. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif And the even gooder, gooder news is, you get to hear the Bose in 2 completely different rooms. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif We've got this room all night, well, till closing time anyway. 11pm bar. http://img1.putfile.com/thumb/10/29710502657.jpg http://img1.putfile.com/thumb/10/29710502646.jpg And we've got this room between 9 & 10. http://img1.putfile.com/thumb/10/29710502791.jpg I've already spoken to Steve and what we'll do is set the Bose up in the first room till 9, then move it over to the larger room for an hour, then finish the night back in the first room. If anybody has now changed their mind and would like to come, please let me know so that I know how many will be there. Quitting Smoking & Drinking doesn't make you live longer It just feels like it. Cool Cant Wait if my new DMX Lights Have arrived by then may bring them along to get you dmx experts to give me a hand I think the secretary may have a dicky fit if we start rolling in with all sorts of equipment as I only discussed the Bose sound system with her. Eddie I suspect that the majority of people wouldn't want to bother getting dressed up for photos when they've come out for a relaxed social evening. Nice thought though. Nice thought though. :bouncy: You are a funny man. I never had any intention of photographing the people (dressing up indeed tongue out icon ) I was offering to photograph the outfits. Still that suits me as I was a bit worried about leaving the gear in the car overnight Edited October 30, 2006 by EdBray Eddie <a href="http://www.vibrant-sounds.co.uk" title="Vibrant Sounds Mobile Disco & Karaoke DJ Ed Bray Eddie Bray eddiebray plymouth devon weddings birthdays parties mobilediscoplymouth" "mobile disco plymouth">www.vibrant-sounds.co.uk</a> <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>PAFC Pride of DEVON</span> C'mon U Greens

BigBen 0
im looking forward to this.... its gonna be good hope plenty of you come and join us hear in warrington........ are you all gonna be drinking and loving the sound of the bose??? As a Bose owner I am hoping for some constructive criticism of the unit. I want people to listen and test it and give honest opinions. We should be putting it through its paces with various musical styles, through various DJ head units in the two rooms Paul has arranged. The Bose can be setup in many different ways - it has four inputs which provide, to the best of my knowledge, three ways of connecting. These are line-level jack input into Channels 1&2, standard XLR into channels 3&4 or, with the use of a Bose pad, XLR into channels 1&2. Channels 1&2 can also make use of some presets - 00, 57 or the new 58. Will this unit have the 58 preset installed? Is it available yet? I am very keen to hear how two poles, and four bins, perform when compared to a single pole and two bins too. Brian stated that his sound improved greatly with the addition of a second unit...I am still undecided. None of us have the same music sources so should a few of us bring our head units to compare how the Bose handles inputs from different manufacturers? Maybe the difference between a SoundLAB mixer isn't that different from a Denon costing four times as much? We won't know unless we test it ourselves. Chris also has a Behringer audio enhancer which he says improves his output tremendously...would it help the Bose? Finally, placement. The Bose's unique output means placing the unit properly is critical to providing a full sound. We should try placing the gear in corners, along hard walls, in front of furnishings, away from the wall, etc. Bass bins can be stacked or spread too. Test! Test! Test! I hope this meet is more than a jolly. We've got some top quality gear to put through its paces. Everyone present will have an opinion and I think we should post these following the event...good or bad. [insert quirky comment]
Steve_Mitchell 0
Will this unit have the 58 preset installed? Is it available yet? Well said Richard.. I`ll bring my Denon players. As with the pre-set 58 I have the software but am having a problem installing it. Andy from bose did personally try to do it for me through my denon players but didn`t manage it...He said he has come acroos this issue before with denon players.. To do this the cd players must have a digital out socket on the unit. Denon has but still no joy...I`ll bring the software with me. Steve 5 European cups and 18 leagues, that`s what we call history. BigBen 0
I'll need directions please Paul - or just let me have the postcode and I'll let Multimap do the hard work. That said, there is a chance I may have an interview down in Bournemouth in the next few weeks. Sod's Law it will be the 21st. Obviously, I need to find work down there so it is hellishly important for me to attend but ain't it typical the meet-up is the only event I have in my diary for the whole of this month! Assuming I'm here...I'll be able to give people lifts if they require. Being teetotal does have its benefits you know! [insert quirky comment]
