Hi Folks

 

Been designing a poster for our banner stand to use at wedding fayres, the printer has told us do design it in photoshop, thankfully I have adobe photoshop on my works laptop but I dont know how to insert images can anyone help.

 

Also is it Adobe photoshop he would be talking about? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/huh.gif

Yes, it would be.

 

You need to check with your printer what profile you need in Photoshop.

It will be either CYMK or RGB. You would need to change the profile of the image being used before it's placed in any template.

 

To open and use any image, open the first image, open the second to be used so you've got 2 windows open, click the image to go onto the banner and move it with your mouse.

Hi,

 

It IS Adobe Photoshop you're thinking about. If there are any others, then I doubt that any printers etc. would be using them!

 

Use the insert on a new layer.

 

Especially for the printers, it will be easier if the text, logo, pics etc. are on seperate layers, which when saved in print format, will enable them to take each layer as a 'finished' product.

 

Everything is then joined together at the printing process, whether its digital or litho!

I was about to say Frankie, Iany will be around soon as he is a dab hand with photo shop as I have first hand experience. But I`v noticed he has already been.
