Eskie 0
Did anyone else receive an email today from Rainbow Wedding Supplies, a company that helps with arrangements for gay/lesbian weddings & blessings? They're basically asking whether I'd be interested in being added to their site as a supplier. I'd guess that a fair few DJ's would immediately respond with "No waaaay!" http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbdown.gif But the colour of the moneys still the same (OK, maybe some of the notes are pink, but hey http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) For those that are interested go to Rainbow Wedding Supplies Anthony Winyard Entertainment www.awe-dj.co.uk, Entertaining London & the South-East! YourBigEvent 0
I had the enquiry a couple of months ago regarding wedding cakes. As it happens I have just taken a booking for December for a 'blessing' between Alan and Dave, whilst Annelise (my wife) is making the cake. I don't mind doing them, and if you get an enquiry I would say do it, as some of the best gigs I have done are for gay people, they have no barriers and just enjoy themselves. .....but what do I know ? YourBigEvent 0
It is much easier to play to gay people than straight people I find, gay people want to have a good time and make sure they do just that whereas straight people like to drink and then dance not the other way around. .....but what do I know ? ChrisPointon 0
Lol I turn my back for 5 minutes (Pardon the pun!), and what have you done to the forum. Gay Weddings! - well live and let live I always say provided you get paid for the disco then what the hell. Homosexuals, Lesbians, Hells Angels, Satan Worshippers, Saddam Hussain, People from Slough etc, as long as they pay their bill I'm not concerned who they are!. I wonder if they have been using the Plasa Photo Shoot, or the Hall of Shame to direct their mailshoot http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif Then the icing on the cake is discovering that Mikee has turned into Cilla Black... mobile_dj_crooks 0
since i'm christain, i have some "negative" opinions of "gayes", but its something that must be accepted in today's world. so leave it, and it won't bug you, is my philospy on this http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif <font color="#008000">laterzzzzz </font> <font color="#0000ff">DJ_CROOKS </font> mobile_dj_crooks@hotmail.com <marquee behavior="alternate"><font color="#008080">Heh, I was a moderator :S</marquee>
Ian Stewart 0
whats wrong with me, nobody asked me am i not attractice http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/sad.gif I have DJ'd at a couple of gay weddings, the most bizarre thing was during the 1st dance at the lesbian wedding, (yes it was KD Lang) when the girls were dancing with the girls, the boys with the boys, there were only a few boy/girl couples dancing. both were very good gigs though. Sharon, my wife regularly works at gay venues, and they are always superb gigs. also I no many straight people who go to the club night G.A.Y. & quote it as one of the best club nights in london Mobile Party DJ For Weddings Parties Corporate Events Covering London Essex Kent Sussex Surrey Bucckinghamshire Hertfordshire & Essex
paula 0
QUOTE both were very good gigs though Agreed! most do's where you've got gaye partys are great! Any of you got gay friends? been out in a crowd etc........ One of the places I done I had a regular gay following and these people made the night, they really know how to enjoy themselves so if you want a bladdy good night take bookings like these! Like a lady needs a handbag, we also need a gay friend, and one of my good friends is gay, and beleive me! He is the only guy on this earth that can say to me "No darling, your ar$e is far to large in that" AND LIVE! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

paula 0
QUOTE HAD to play I will survive at those gigs then Paula ! No actually, nor did I play YMCA it's raining men or anything you lot would comically assume gay people like to listen too :wacko They will sing and dance to anything, there not as reserved as such straight people! and I've sung and danced with plenty! A right happy go lucky crowd!
ChrisPointon 0
I think that Younger People / D.J's (Apart from maybe Crooksey!) are more open to accepting alternative Lifestyles or sexualities these days, than perhaps the D.J's of the older generations. I believe that the Gay clubs have less trouble than the usual club nights, maybe this is as Paula said, that Gay's are more likely to enjoy themselves and hence less interest in purely going out to get drunk and cause trouble!. QUOTE Any of you got gay friends? been out in a crowd etc........ I know one local D.J who is openly Gay. Yes, at first it made me very un-comfortable, but you can't judge people purely because of their sexuality. At the end of the day he's a great laugh, a very good D.J and the type of person who would always help anybody out. Also just because somebody happens to be gay does't mean that they'll automatically be out to chat you up. But why are they always surrounded by beautiful woman????, Is there an element of safety here Paula??. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif
YourBigEvent 0
Just because I am straight doesn't mean that every girls chats me up so why should it be different for blokes (not sure that made any sense but will keep it in anyway) I have gay friends and it more of a laugh with them then with my straight friends, but as Chris says ALL the woman love them, I think it may be a femine thing attraction but it's just not fair http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif .....but what do I know ?
