I'd like to know too please as I have just been booked for a wedding next April. As I understand it, there will be a marquee.

Well Brian and I have worked there and I am back again on Friday and next week.

The Marquee looks nice enough and is to the right of the main building, although Brian is in it this weekend I think so he will give you a better run down.

The rest of the building is a hotchpotch of old (the main part) and dodgy 70's build. It's a bit like a fawlty towers in that respect

The staff in the main are OK (almost all are from Poland) and work hard but there are some real shocking things going on with staff hanging around the public bars drinking away (and I mean seriously drinking) in front of the paying punters. :nono:

Service is average at best.

Never did hear the report did we?

BUT...I was there a last week and well....the location isn't that great if you have hefty equipment to carry around. I had some big JBL's with me and it was either ask for help to get them down the stairs to the marquee OR get back in the van and drive it down a very small and winding road so that I was almost next to the marquee. I asked the wedding co-ordinator if it was ok to do so and he said that it was fine but at my own risk as it was pretty tight. I opted for the latter and with my trolly it was pretty easy.

The marquee is pretty big but there is a lack of electric sockets. The staff were pretty pleasant. I set up in the afternoon and heard a few foreign accents (catering staff) and also some plates smashing (lol). It was ok, not the best place I have been but pleasant enough.

Yes, the venue is fine, I did not report back but if you look at the weekend reports, you may find something - one of the events I did was a bit of a shambles as the heating in the marquee packed up (December) :drama:

Well I am here playing smooth jazz whilst the wedding party are drinking on the lawn. All very nice... The marquee looks fab, they have soundproofed it and bought 2 farms nearby, so no noise issues. There is free wifi too, so the boredom is less than usual.
