What can I attach the deck earthing lead to. You know the u shaped lead that normally connect up to the purpose screw fixing on the amp/ Mixer desk? Cartridges give out a very low level signal which requires amplifying up and RIAA equalisation before it can be feed in to a line input. Mixers have this built in, so your best bet is to connect the deck (and earth lead) to your mixer as normal, and then connect the mixer output to the sound card. Link to post Share on other sites

Can't get round luggin it all upstairs to my PC. I must be lazy i have one of those decks with a USB connection...... and Line out.
