shakermaker 0
Tonight - I am putting on an event myself at a small club in town. I do it once a month and it's my Indie / Alternative Night. Should be a good earner if the turnout is like last time although I have put the fact down that if it is quieter, it is because it's january and everyone may be skint. Tomorrow - Request Fest at my local which should be good so Bizarre Inc is a certain player. Looking forward to this weekend actually although I still can't shake off this cold now. Shakermaker Promotions Indie / Rock & Alternative Specialist (But I can cater for everything else too).
Whisky In A Vase 0
Quiet one for me this weekend. On call tonight for local DJ's until 6pm, but if the call doesn't come I may just go for a couple of the pints of good old fashioned lager........Visiting some excellent public houses in the Chorley, a small town, where the lights aslways flash at the weekend.......Its crap really, but never mind, the lager is good. If anyone is in the Chorley area tomorrow night, let me know and I may come along and say hello....

shakermaker 0
Absolutely brilliant night last night. My first Indie night of the year, middle of january, cold and nasty weather yet 200 people (capacity) came out and supported the night and it was great. A very good earner too so I am well chuffed as are the owners. Now got dates up until November. 3 hours kip though as I was buzzing. The cold has now gone but been replaced with severe toothache and the last thing I want to do tonight is DJ but I'll grin and bear it. Have a good one folks! shakermaker 0
Request Fest last night was one of the best I've done. There was a 30th birthday party turn up plus a huge gang of guys that were celebrating their mate becoming a dad for the first time so they were 'wetting the baby's head' as they say. Some really good requests and after about an hour I decided to make it a cheese fest and said over the mic that I wanted people to request the cheesiest tracks that they could think of and they started flooding in.....stuff like Dennis Waterman ' I could be so good for you', Rolf Harris 'Two little boys', Chas & Dave 'Rabbit' and so on.... Bearing in mind that the venue I play at is a student orientated pub with lots of Indie, Rock, Alternative, Punk and Emo lovers etc....well, they were all up for it and up for a laugh and it went down really well.
