I'm only a few hundred yards from the final approach to Exeter Airport - I must say I do like the sound of 'The Big Ones' taking off!!

It'd be amusing to own a sound system capable of re-creating that. tongue out icon

Cadet at 17........bahhh......rubish......I dont do all this "your a cadet till your 18"........thats just a way for cadet divisions holding onto cadets when they should be letting them out into the real world......I was transfered to adults at 15 1/2........and I loved it. Treated like an adult not a kid.

Umm......yes technician........stuff what st john rules say....

I know SOME of the AA2 courses are a little shaved down to say the least as their is no standard course for the whole country........ours is not and anyone who has done the northamptonshire course has earned the right to badge themselfs technician when you add up all the elements we have to do to qualify its pretty much the same as an NHS Tech.....so thats what I call it.....but technically its AA2 :-p

Rank actualy means nothing to nobody......till the :cense: :fan: then all hell breaks loose and whoever has the highest rank has to take the flak for it......but thats life lol

Oh yea the London Marathon.....Im going this year......our unit is showing off its brand spanking new first aid unit, good chance we will be on BBC1 on the day as they are running a feature on the work of St John at the Marathon :-)

Yea Im on MSN......its posted on my profile.....but its aquanick2001@aol.com

Jimbo55,

Saw model rocketry display at a model show near Bristol 2 years ago - very impressive.

They launched 2 foot ones and a big :cense: that went up like a greased stoat. The best I saw though was a rocket propelled balsa R/C glider that they brought down on the runway. NICE.

I also like things that fly, although mine do not have engines....

3 metre wingspan Pike Brio Extreme.

Just chuck it off the Bwlch (google it) and watch it go!

As with a previous poster, I am also a bit of a petrol head, I have been:

Rallying,

Karting,

Autograssing,

Motorcrossing,

and Enduro (ing).

Again, anything with an engine! :D

Got a bit like burning fifty pund notes in the end, though! :(

Clive.
