mark_richards 0
Hi All About time I started to do all this properly (and more importantly get paid!). I need a business name, so wondered if you had any ideas. My Name is Mark Richards I have thought of something like Mark's Mobile Music or Mark's Musical Madness or Mark Richards Music Roadshow or MR DJ Any other ideas, what do you think of mine etc etc. Thanks Mark
C.S 0
I suggest you go for something short and informative so "mobile discoteque/disc jockey" should be involved somewhere. I will try anything, once! The Cornish will arise again ! Manager of the Andy Harris Fan Club. Keep pasties Cornish
YourBigEvent 0
Agree with CS Maybe MR Roadshow ? .....but what do I know ? Your Big Event Office:01803 813540 Direct: 0797 0717 448 e.mail:info@yourbigevent.co.uk
Kingy 0
Just "Mark Richards-Mobile discotheque"!! The word roadshow is IMHO, dated. The days of the real "Road shows" has long since passed.
Corabar Steve 0
I like Musical Madness, but it's probably worth adding Mobile Disco / Discotheque, Entertainment(s) or something similar on the end The word roadshow is IMHO, dated. The days of the real "Road shows" has long since passed. I agree Steve... Mad bad & dangerous to know Better to study for one hour with the wise, than to drink wine with the foolish. The opinions of Corabar Steve are not necessarily those of Corabar Ltd or any of it's subsidiary companies
NRG Roadshow 0
Just "Mark Richards-Mobile discotheque"!! The word roadshow is IMHO, dated. The days of the real "Road shows" has long since passed. Whats up with Roadshow......lol
Dukesy 0
Promote yourself. People book the DJ.... so why not promote yourself simply as Marky Richards or Mark Richards Entertainment.
Paul Smith 0
I liked the 1st one - Marks Mobile Music has a ring to it.

Corabar Steve 0
Promote yourself. People book the DJ.... Really? So why is it that we (as a company ) are so busy then? Steve... brianmole 0
Really? So why is it that we (as a company ) are so busy then? Who said that this was the only way some people work? Not me. Jus a suggestion which is also known to work well.
Corabar Steve 0
Who said that this was the only way some people work? Not me. Jus a suggestion which is also known to work well. I didn't say that Brian. If you are a sole trader then fine, market yourself there's nothing wrong with that, but we are proof that to say people book the DJ is not necessarily the case & an inaccurate statement. Steve... Stephen_N.I. 0
What about something like sparky/sparkie Marky/Markie. Make it stand out a bit more. Just a thought. N2K Entertainments http://www.n2kentertainments.co.uk stephen@n2kentertainments.co.uk
mark_richards 0
How about.. Mark Richards Discos (could shorten to MRD or MR Disco) I think Mark's Mobile Music is OK, but is it a bit cheesy? Mark
ian . 0
'Morphys'. 'Morphys Roadshow.'
slug boy 0
Just Mark Richards Entertainment... then a tag line saying what you do... e.g. "Mark Richards Entertainment, Bringing the music to you!" or a list of services, Disco, Karaoke, PA Hire, Lighting. Don't want to limit yourself by a name
Stephen_N.I. 0
MRD Entertainments sounds very professional I think. I wish I'd named my business as entertainments rather than discos, seems to put some people off. HalfPint 0
Also think about the future. We started off as Half Pint Discos, then as the business grew it became Half Pint Roadshows, then Half Pint Entertainments. The name also needs to have some life in it so it will not age and make you look silly. Edited February 20, 2007 by HalfPint
Mo The Motown Man 0
Yes whats wrong with Roadshow = you go on the road and you do a showit's lasted me for over 40 years so you add ROADSHOW if thats what you want KEEP THE FAITH M.U. HalfPint 0
yes I agree, we changed because we started doing Childrens parties / PA hire / equipment hire and then booking discos with Bands. the comment was just an example.
Andy Westcott 0
Quote: "The name also needs to have some life in it so it will not age and make you look silly." Agree absolutely. A perfect name would be something like 'Hot Fusion', but I think that's already taken.
pdentertainment 0
I agree with stephen , MRD Entertainments does sound a professional name . If you were to go with 'MR Discos or 'MR Entertainment' etc they could be misread as 'Mr. Discos' or 'Mr. Entertainment' etc which may sound a little on the cheesy side. C.S 0
Roadshow, disco, entertainments, it doesnt matter what you call it as long as the customer knows what it is.
