Jase Windu 0
Spent the afternoon at Class-D in Mansfield, went down with my mentor to have a demo of their 'Fat B@$#@rd 4.5Kw concert rig to use as a complete back up for his main 'big' rig. To be honest was expecting disappointment and a wasted trip but gets me out the house so I thought why not. All I can say is 'WOW' for the money (£2,495) it's more than worth it, I'll not list the specs (you can find 'em here). I'm going back in two weeks to pick one up and some extra bass bins for my own mobile rig while am there. The service we got while we were there was spot on, (working in retail management bad customer service is something I can't abide) nothing was too much trouble and best of all was that these guys know exactly what they are on about, and won't sell you what you don't need. They even tried talking us out of buying a different more expensive system they're gonna start selling because they havn't had chance to check it out themselves and wernt willing to recommend it until they were happy with it themselves. If you want speakers and can't pay the earth for some you could do far worse than check these guys out. Just one thing crossed my mind tho and that was reliability, has anyone used or have any Class-D kit and if so whats your experience of it. Jase

ian . 0
Class-D speakers are excellent! Even the budjet range are good. Bet that 4.5Kw rig was amazing! I got mine from the same peeps in Mansfield. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Jac15's on top of 500W Class-D subs - superb sound. I'm getting some Jac 10's next to add on to my rig.
Jase Windu 0
Gary's the guy who spent 2 hours with us this afternoon doing the demo, and he seems a top bloke. Him and Mick (My mentor) spent the most of the time talking about all the kit they had used over the past 30 years. Got a full tour of the place too, which granted didn't take long. And yes the system sounded awesome, it shook the building. Gonna try it with their new 18" bass bins when we go back in a fortnight to see what thats like.
Corabar Steve 0
I've been using these (CD158) for just over a year now & I was very impressed when I first got them, they have a very rich sound. They've "bedded in" a bit since I've had them, but sill sound great & you can push them some. Depending on the gig I either use them on their own or with Deltec BX16 bass bins. Jimbo55 0
I have some JAC12 that I have used for nearly 18 months or so. I use them on there own for Karaoke in small venues or for floor monitors with live gigs. I have also used them with 15" Cerwin Vega Bins as a complete system and again they worked very well. Sound good very robust and excellent value for money. Jim Digital Fusion Entertainments Bose L1 system user.
Fekker 0
After reading reviews on here about Class-d I plumped for a pair of D 158's. I must say I am bitterly dissapointed with the sound. The cabinets are out of phase and sound bad on one cab and a lot worse on both leaving a gaping hole in the soundstage. I wish I'd been able to hear them first and am going to send them back as they are not working properly.
Fekker 0
Just a follow up to say that I am impressed with the feedback from Class-D, Peter Hotchkiss Co-Director emailed offering a full refund. I must say that I am impressed with their customer service and hope that I was sent a rogue batch that were wired incorrectly. Full marks to Class-D. the moral of this tale is, try them, if they don't suit then class-D will take them back, they offer a 14 day return period, can't say better than that! :-)
