Jason v G 0
I went to meet a wedding couple last night, to discuss their evening reception in a couple of weeks time. Imagine my shock when they requested plenty of party cheese - abba, wham, grease, etc.. along with a reasonable amount of talking/interaction on the mic. :toot: and get this .......... no R'n'B !! Makes a nice change from the normal requests I've been getting recently, which all seem to be influenced by cthe same members of a wedding forum :shaun: So there is hope, not everybody wants a wedding with just the latest tunes and stuff the older guests. FrankieJ 0
You can’t beat playing loads of paty stuff at a wedding it goes down sooo well. I’m in the process of building my new website and in the Q&A section I have said that we don’t specialise in hardcore dance, heavy metal, heavy indie music (Is there such thing????). I know that I could potentially be losing clients but I just dont have the music for these kinds of functions. DJ Frankie Knuckles.
Jason v G 0
I agree it makes for a great party atmosphere for all the guests. I've been getting the impression lately that party music is seen as 'uncool' in certain circles, a great shame in my opinion. That sounds like a good idea Frankie, and the thing is I think that you need to know quite a bit about a style of music before you can claim to specialise in any genre, not just have the tracks available. High Fidelity 0
I've just received the music request list for a joint 21st 50th in October. Top of the list is Agadoo :scared: followed by Oops Upside Your Head, Timewarp, YMCA. They've also requested the usual 60's to 90's and finished the list off with "some 90's dance music (in brackets "Clubs)", Rock N Roll and New York New York. This sounds like my kind of party  Quitting Smoking & Drinking doesn't make you live longer It just feels like it.
