Just of interest if you were full of cold and chesty would you still do the gig or sub it out?

My week started on Tuesday with a 10th birthday for a boy who had only invited boys so all they really wanted to do was run around and beat each other up :paula:

Last night was a bar in leicestershire which was really good untill about ten to midnight when everyone left to get in the club down the road before the prices went up at midnight.

Tonight Im at Centre Parcs.

If it was just a cold, I would still do it but if it was man flu, I'd have to give serious consideration to subbing it out.

yeah proper man flu, but i managed it all night, and they were an excellent crowd, except for the 1 young man who fell asleep at the side of me van in a pool of his own vomit!

Friday: got a shout (45min into show) for houseproud on Pete Tong's Essential Selection

Saturday: I set up in a beautiful marquee in Hook, and did the background music bit as well as the party. Strange, throughout the meal, the punters were really quiet... Party was OK although a little subdued as well  As the couple got married in Mexico, I did a latin jazz set followed by some funky house. A few people came up asking for track names & said that was really pleasant  For the first time in 25 years, had a request for Jive :cense: Bunny :protest:

Sunday: took Louise to Brands Hatch for the formula A1 Grand Prix final. Wicked race with quite a bit of drama, and a really great day out too.

Must be something in the air because I did too - and it was from a DJ who was a guest. I thought he was taking the Michael but he was serious and danced to it too - wasn't you was it tongue out icon

Just Saturday Night for me with a 30th Bday!

Started off badly with tom tom wanting to send me through cow fields with the postcode of the golf club, with no signs of sight of the golf club decided tom tom must have been right and set off up this track thorugh a field of cows !!!!!!!!!!!!! Got through 4 fields, (4 gates to get out open drive through get out and shut again!!)

Then the lane/ track forked 2 ways and tom tom wanted to go right which was a bit of a drop down was worried car would get stuck so had a quick recon of area to see the golf club in the distance but it was the other side of the M62 !!!! So decided to not risk going any further so did a 20 point turn and back through fields and :cense: gates. Phoned her in doors who checked details on there website and managed to guide me to the golf club arrived at 7:00 for a 7:30 start so had to rush like mad to set up for start time. (Good job I always aim to arrive a hour before due start time)

Was told eventually I would have got to the golf club by following those lanes but they wouldnt recomend it as the paths only really suitable for tractors !!!!

Evening itself was okay nothing bad nothing great all though ....................

For the first time in 25 years, had a request for Jive Bunny

Must be something in the air because I did too

I Got asked for Jive Bunny as well, and they danced to it !!!!

At Finish had lots of compliments about range of music we had played and Bar Manager came over for a nice chat and took all the cards I had and said happy to recomend us so to all there clients.

So Turn out Okay and next time I will know to not use Tom Tom to get there :ouch:
