To get onto the list - in other words, to make it to position one thousand - you had to be worth at least £80 million. Many on the list are Entrepreneurs. They own their own business. Here's the interesting thing...... You have something in common with every single Entrepreneur on that list. Here's what you have in common with them. At some point, they were exactly where you are now. Whether you're comfortably running a growing business or ignoring the overdraft letters from the bank - every single Entrepreneur (apart from inherited wealth) starts from zero. If I were to sell groceries from a van for instance, I could not dream of making millions, but imagine I developped my business and had a large number of stores in the country? Mind you i am not in this business for the money as there are things out there that would make me more money faster just that i love doing it. Pete Tong, Carl Cox are DJ's that once were mobiles! Although I was thinking more along the lines of a national company running DJ's nationwide. In theory it's possible. Stop for a moment and appreciate what you have already got and quit worrying about trying to be one step ahead financially than the next person because in worrying less about money and material things, statistics prove that whilst the ex-stressed former business gurus are pushing up daisies, you'll be watching your great grandchildren grow up, and can anybody put a price on that??. Also the only way you can become a millionaire as a rule is to work or run something that earns you money while your not there... As a sole mobile DJ you have to be there... So work out what is the maximum you can charge and times it by the maximum you would work in a year (Be Honest) and this is the maximum you could earn in a year as a mobile... and thats before Tax expenses etc... We all need to generate money from other sources without requiring us to be there to become millionaires lol! EXAMPLE Say you charge £300 per gig and you work 5 gigs per week thats £1500 then X it by 52 = £7800 is the max you could earn but Tax and running costs to come of that.. When paperwork becomes too much to keep on top of, you hire a receptionist etc. before you know if you'll be able to do 20 gigs on one night throughout the whole of the UK tongue out icon OK. i over simplify it, but there's no reason why it isn't possible, given time... andyw 0 Posted May 17, 2007 Report Share Posted May 17, 2007 (edited) you can make millions out of doing mobiles,i've been to ads towers. :bouncy: on a serious note it's not where you are now it's the opportunities that it can create for you(and you create for yourself)sometimes it just falls in your lap but most of the time you have to have a goal and work hard to get it.you dont have to be ruthless or greedy to have a goal in life.from a bussiness point of view you need a direction and tobe continously moving forward or your show will become stale.so having a target of where do i want to be in xx amount of years isnt a bad thing , you might want to be where you are now but you got to work and have a plan to stay there. That would be £72,000... which i think is doable(sp) with a lot of hard work. All it is designed to do is show you your maximum earning potential as a DJ you could do it for 7 days a week it just shows how far short of a million you would be lol.... As I say you need something to make you money while your not there that can be replocated many times... for example if someting earned you £300 a time 5 times a week but you had 20 of them doing it then thats a lot more dosh.... £1560000 but as you cant be in 20 places at one time.... Yes and very successful but they also produce CDs work on radio (maybe pre recorded) Probably sell books have a colum in a music mag etc etc...
