WOW!!!! Am now the proud owner of 4 new babies and father hood is a wonderful wonderful thing. I'm refering to Marky Marcs JBL's and far from being a simple buyer and seller transation it bore many similarities to an adoption proceedure hence new babies.

I was rigoursly questioned to the usage, advised on amps, crossovers, cables, positioning, settings etc etc. And then and only then was he happy to let his babies leave the nest knowing how well they would be cared for.

I know I've made a bit of meal of that what I'm trying to say in reality is that I've never experienced so much help and advice on purchasing anything before and on receiving them to be every bit as described and so so much more.

Grin factor is still set to max and and the tingling in chest hasn't gone away yet from the bass rattling off my ribs. Was told how I would hear and FEEL the difference and boy oh boy can you feel it.

Just wanted to give a public shout out to say "Cheers Marc" Am very very happy

Nice one Marc. Although we've never met he's been on the blower to me numerous times with advice and help about gear and, more recently, gigs too. Keep it up Marky...you'll be rewarded in heaven my good man!

I remember you saying something similar on a BOSE L1 / PAS discussion thread, 12 months later you'd bought one yourself.

Does this mean that in about 12 months time we'll be seeing a JBL addition to the Harris family?? tongue out icon

Did a gig once with some JBL Eon 12's, 30w, put me off for life, although I have also used thier high end stuff, and it seems OK, but would prefer EV, DAS, HK, just to prove I do like stuff with initials only.

.....but what do I know ?

There really isn't anything like big speakers - welcome to the fold!

And going by what a client asked me last week, people do notice the difference!

(She asked me if I still used the big speakers that I used at her birthday party years ago, and I said yes. After quizzing her about why she wanted to know, she explained that she remembered the bass vibrating the doors and windows, and that she could feel it in her body when she danced. She said mine was the only disco she's been to where the bass did that. The customer is nearly always right. )

I've never used EON's but I can recommend the JRX's that I use. They are punchy and on both occasions this week I have had people commenting on the quality of the sound. I run them through a Crown amp.

The comments above about what JBL stands for are a bit OTT in my opinion but each to their own I suppose eh.

Yes, Marc is very helpful and has a great set up. One of the best I have seen and rightly so, he is proud of it. I will be in touch on monday at some point Marc regarding our conversation the other day about the amp.

JBL - Just Bloody Lovely !
