KrazyKaz 0
Saturday - Football Club Presentation for the Under 10's team. Did games etc for the kids, adults didn't do a lot of dancing which I found disappointing but the people who booked me said that everyone had said it was a fantastic night - so much so that when they find a better venue they will be booking me for their Xmas do. They don't call me Krazy for nothing! Krazy by name - Krazy by nature !!!Age doesn't matter, unless you're a cabinet!K K Disco
Tonsk 0
As a How Was It For You thread, we should technically be posting reports on the evenings as well - so I'll start. Friday had the night off, so I went looking at other Discos (am I the only sad bugger that does this when I have a night off to see others work and get tips or hints?) Saturday I was performing with a band who were very good but ONLY if you liked their style of music. It was a surprise 50th birthday/30th Wedding anniversary. I played 7-9, then the band 9-10. Me from 10-10.35 and then the band 10.35 till finish (11.30ish). I arrived and, after looking at the small stage, setup on the floor as I knew the band were a 7 piece and we both wouldn't fit. Was told there weren't gonna be many kids but took the kids party bag with me just in case - which is a good thing as there were loads of them there. Made lots of new balloon things for them which made them happy. Barely any dancing before the band (as had the buffet out as well) even though I tried ALL styles. Band were a reggae/ska band and had a few dancing during their set. At 10 I did a musical This Is Your Life for the couple which went well then had a fair few dance for about 15 mins before the band started again and I began packing down - but as the band didn't have any lighting effects I had to keep mine aimed at the audience until they finished. All in all not a good night in my opinion but they all seemed happy so.... Off to Ireland for a stag night this weekend so no gigs booked till Wednesday next week. The Right Music - based in Norwich and covering all Norfolk and Suffolk
