Andy Westcott 0
I use Microsoft Access. Assuming you create the right fields, you can then list by artist, title, year or whatever other details you have incorporated. Searchable, too. OK, you have to type everyting in manually, but hey! What else would you be doing on a Sunday?!
Partyprint 0
If your willing to type in all your tracks then why not just use excel, you can then sort into alphabetical order or genre's ect.. Wedding Dj in Liverpool
Tonsk 0
I too use CATraxx.. I find it a great piece of software, but I export to Excel so that I can put the list online on my website for anyone to download and see what I take.... Currently up to 19,500ish... Corabar Steve 0
Music collector also exports to Excel Steve... Andy Westcott 0
But Access is specifically designed to be a database - why do it in Excel? smile icon
Corabar Steve 0
The database would be in CATraxx or Music Collector, Excel is just an easy way of getting a printout for folks to thumb through. Tonsk 0
Andy, as Steve says, CATRaxx accesses the CDDB and populates all the information on the CD, track names, length etc so you don't have to type it all in. You can export this to Excel so that you can send to others, or use to search yourself, or you can keep it and do the searching in CATRaxx itself. Just easier in Excel. Steve_Mitchell 0
It would be easier to rip all your cd`s into MP3. Play them from your laptop and then you could use the search function on the laptop. Steve 5 European cups and 18 leagues, that`s what we call history.
