Norfolk DJ 0
I remember reading in 'pro mobile' magazine about 3 years ago that this was included with the DJ's voted 20 most played tracks. good tune, but never played it although I have a copy. Prefer the Bon Jovi/Bryan Adams type stuff. However maybe I have overlooked a decent track. Does anybody play this very often?
NRG Roadshow 0
I hadnt ever played it before..... Played it last night as it was on the Bride and Grooms Request list..... And was probably the most well received track of the night, they loved it! And its definitely gonna feature in future gigs.
DJGAVT 0
Play it alot along with bonjovi, bryan adams and reef all the time.
DJ Marky Marc 0
I play it at most party type gigs with an 18 to 21 ish majority crowd. they love it..
Norfolk DJ 0
Hmm maybe it's one of those tracks which has become more popular with age. Will try it out next week.
Paul Smith 0
I play it quite often - it's a long track (over 5 mins) but it has to be played from the start and cut it short at your peril :scared: I find that rock music is appreciated more than any other genre - the guests will sing and dance and even applaud at the end of each song
BigBen 0
I really can't believe there are DJ's out there who have never played this track! Not because you don't like it but because I find it is requested at the majority of gigs I do. I'd much rather play something else by G'n'R but this one goes down incredibly well with so many audiences that it has become a standard in most end of night sets. I wouldn't necessarily play it with Bon Jovi or Reef though (completely different tempo) unless you were using it at the end of a rock set to move into some slowies. If you have never given it a go I highly recommend you try it out. [insert quirky comment]
Norfolk DJ 0
I really can't believe there are DJ's out there who have never played this track! Not because you don't like it but because I find it is requested at the majority of gigs I do. Never requested. Wasn't popular when I had it on 7inch when it charted in 1989. Bon Jovi , yep very popular and other rock band mentioned eg Reef. I could turn that statement around Ben and say that there have been a lot of tracks on here, mentioned which I get asked for or play which are floor fillers, but fellows members either don't play them or have never been asked. I think some of this comes down to some variation in music between different parts of the country. ie Rock & Roll seems to be popular 'out in the sticks' compared to say in the middle of a city. EdBray 0
I play it at most gigs as part of a set of: 1 Summer Of 69 2 Livin' On A Prayer (cut out the intro and start immedietly before the drum roll) 3 Sweet Child Of Mine 4 Rocking All Over The World Usually say something like: 1 "Lets see the Air Guitarists" 2 "Well, Can you play and sing" Fade the track for the crowd to sing 'whoa oh, Livin' on a prayer' at the end of each chorus 3 don't say anything, no need 4 "Soething for the older rockers" Goes down a storm, and usually the best received and danced to set of the night. Usually follow with a Rock n Roll set Eddie <a href="http://www.vibrant-sounds.co.uk" title="Vibrant Sounds Mobile Disco & Karaoke DJ Ed Bray Eddie Bray eddiebray plymouth devon weddings birthdays parties mobilediscoplymouth" "mobile disco plymouth">www.vibrant-sounds.co.uk PAFC Pride of DEVON C'mon U Greens

KrazyKaz 0
Play it alot along with bonjovi, bryan adams all the time. Same here, teenagers seem to love it. I must say I'm very pleased because it's one of my favourite tunes. They don't call me Krazy for nothing! Krazy by name - Krazy by nature !!!Age doesn't matter, unless you're a cabinet!K K Disco
Paul Smith 0
2 "Well, Can you play and sing" Fade the track for the crowd to sing 'whoa oh, Livin' on a prayer' at the end of each chorus With a good rock crowd I usually fade the whole chorus and let them sing it - works really well after the 2nd one when Jon Bon Jovi comes back in with 'Livin On A Prayer'. In fact one of the reasons I like playing this genre is because the audience will sing along at the top of their voices (& dance too) - ya can't beat it smile icon

Corabar Steve 0
I wouldn't necessarily play it with Bon Jovi or Reef though (completely different tempo) unless you were using it at the end of a rock set to move into some slowies. Why? It's rock music, you're hardly going to beat mix it. Steve... Mad bad & dangerous to know Better to study for one hour with the wise, than to drink wine with the foolish. Corabar Steve 0
I disagree, you tend to get quite a few girlies dancing to it round here. Steve...
