Might be worth checking out Thomanns prices and getting it delivered when he gets back home.

I've used them several times - as well as competitive prices they keep you well informed of the progress of your order by email and/or text message. They also give their own 3 year guarantee with a lot of products at no extra cost.

I suppose the real measure of any company though is how they deal with a problem - thankfully I haven't needed to test that smile icon

I've bought loads from Thomann (there's a surprise), few UK companies can match either their prices or their customer service.

Out of the many orders I have placed with them I have only ever had 2 problems, the first was when they sent me the wrong size speaker covers (sent 12" instead of 15") and when I contacted them to tell them they apologised, told me to keep the 12" and sent the 15" out immediately and I had them 2 days later.

(12" covers later fitted my Mackies perfectly).

I also bought four Stairville Earthquakes (same as ACME Falcons) and later sold them to Hi-Fidelity, after a short while, one stopped working. I rang Thomann, they arranged a convienient collection at their expense, just over a week later it was returned repaired.

I have bought Amplifiers, Active Speakers, Light Effectss, Stands, DMX controllers (2), HD2500, Mixer and loads of sundries from them, all at great prices, with a 30 day money back return and a 3 year warranty you can't go wrong really.

I pretty much always look a their website first when I am considering buying new equipment.

Thomann UK (still based in Germany though)

You may have to contact them as there does not seem to be a Norway flag showing.

Chris,

Thomanns will ship to Norway no problem. They charge €30 no matter how large or small the order, and their prices are sometimes less than half what we would expect to pay here.

They send all goods to here tax free, but obviously some of them will get the feelers from the Customs guys, then you'll have to pay the 25% MVA. Delivery times are about 3 to 5 days.

I'm looking into getting stuff sent to a mate about 100K over the border in Sweden, then re-claiming the taxes at the Swedish border posts when crossing back into Norway, as you're allowed 6000Kr "duty free" if you've been out of the country for more than 24 hours, or 3000Kr for a shorter time, and they'll never know I've only been out a couple of hours tongue out icon

A bit naughty I know, but what they don't know about they wont mind
