Corabar Steve 0
Great posters Brian, who does these for you? Re the flyers I think you may be on dodgy ground with the PC mob with the white girl depicted as an angel while the black one is depicted as a devil. Not my view you understand, but it was just a thought that crossed my mind when looking at them. Edited August 22, 2007 by Corabar Steve Steve... brianmole 0
Great posters Brian, who does these for you? It's part of a website template we purchased. The redesign work is being done by the creative team. Re the flyers I think you may be on dodgy ground with the PC mob with the white girl depicted as an angel while the black one is depicted as a devil. Not my view you understand, but it was just a thought that crossed my mind when looking at them. With respect, I think you are looking too deep into this Steve, what have you been drinking?!! tongue out icon It's actually the same girl (we call her Beryl, the HouseProud babe), and just the whole colour scheme is different. At 9am?!?!?!?! what do you think I am a wino????! http://planetsmilies.net/vicious-smiley-1835.gif (we call her Beryl, the HouseProud babe), Looks nothing like my mother-in-lawhttp://planetsmilies.net/not-tagged-smiley-16079.gifIt's actually the same girl ..................and just the whole colour scheme is different. I had noticed.http://planetsmilies.net/vicious-smiley-1851.gif It doesn't bother me in the slightest Brian, but I have seen the PC mob get up in arms over the whole white good / black bad thing before & was merely making an observation. Was it deliberate to make the flyers look like Hed Kandi sleves? Steve... Mad bad & dangerous to know Better to study for one hour with the wise, than to drink wine with the foolish. And Jason Brooks's artwork did play a good part in influencing our choice of template - we play a considrable amount of Hed Kandi type material.
Jase Windu 0
Did my first civil partnership last night, was a fantastic evening 2 hours of cheese followed by two and a half hours of dance and trance a bizarre mix but a fantastic night with a crowd who where out to have a good time. Tonight (Saturday) another wedding, makes a change for this year only done 14 so far normally do at least 30 a year all I seem to be doing these days are birthdays. Mind you if it's anything like last Saturday then I wouldn't want to do anymore, last weeks was for 120 guests and a total of 27 turned up on the evening which included 8 kids under 10. And tomorrow (Sunday) off to Blackpool with the girls from work to have a drink or two and thats just on the way there, so any of you guys working Blackpool tomorrow day time let me know where and I'll try and pop to say hello, if I'm still standing. Day job on Monday, not get much done there though if the way I felt after the last Blackpool trip is anything to go by, it's days like that when I think "It's good to be the boss." bluejools 0
Was best man last night at friends wedding. Pete from Music Box covered it at short notice First time I have knowingly met someone from the forum. Just want to say a big :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: to Pete and Ali. Great approach and great choice of music that got a difficult crowd up and happy on a very hot night. Just ask me - i was sweating with the rest of them on the floor !! Very very enjoyable - first time in a long while I haven't sat and criticised a DJ under my breath at the back. Enjoy Monday you two. (for me - two days of sun!)
music box 0
Thanks Mate for the above message. It was our pleasure, made some great friends. We enjoyed ourselves, The hospitality was great, and we enjoyed the bottle of bubbley when we got home. Yup have to admit that we made a fellow DJ sweat a little on Saturday night lol Three quarters of the way through our tour with one more gig to go which is on Monday . Will put a full report up sometime on Tuesday for you all. Cheers for now Pete an Ali Edited August 26, 2007 by music box
High Fidelity 0
Saturday night was a Joint wedding anniversary and the sons leaving party (a soldier going on tour abroad). One of those long nights where nobody danced no matter what I tried, but lots of thanks at the end with compliments on the choice of music played. It's a strange room to set up in. http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/9/24418520546.jpg The bar is on the left, to the right of the bar is a fire exit, and the door on the right is the Gents toilet. (handy if you get caught short). The only power socket is to the right of the gents toilet door, where the tables are. how would you set up? Luckily, my setup is very compact, so this is how I setup: http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/9/24418520578.jpg Notice the cables running over the Gents toilet door. http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/9/24418520556.jpg Having worked this room before I new I was going to have a problem, so made myself some cable hangers from welding rod. (patent pending ) http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/9/24418524846.jpg I did tidy up a bit more before the guests arrived. Quitting Smoking & Drinking doesn't make you live longer It just feels like it.
