Andy Westcott 0
Made no difference to me once we'd lost. Before that there were a fair few gathered around an imported TV which diverted attention away from the dancing a bit, but things are often a bit slow before the buffet anyhow. After the game we had a brilliant party with no long faces despite there being several devout England supporters present, resplendent in our colours. So - upshot is that it had no damping effect on my night; How about the rest of you - how was your night affected, if at all?
robbiedj 0
Not the show. We were in an upstairs function room in a social club. Smokers going down looked in and relayed the score to us. Our problem was outside. The venue is about 50yds away from a pub called Zulus, which is a hub for South Africans. The noise during the match was terrific and the victory celebrations spilled out onto the street, blocking the road and involving a number of police trying to move them. Luckily, by the time we finished, they had managed to shift most of them. But I'm glad I didn't fly the St George Cross on my car yesterday. :hide: You want me to play what? Steve_Mitchell 0
Definate difference for me. I did a charity do on Saturday. I did the same do last year and last year had more attendants. When asked the organiser she said she sold more tickets than people that turned up. Steve 5 European cups and 18 leagues, that`s what we call history.
