High Fidelity 0
QUOTE (botleycrew @ Jul 1 2006, 08:05 AM) Would it be best to email direct the Members localy that have offered to take a newbie/roadie along for the night? ie Marky and Mike Moore? I would suggest either PM, or if their website has a phone number, ring them. Quitting Smoking & Drinking doesn't make you live longer It just feels like it.

NRG Roadshow 0
Hi Yup I'm up for this one. So anyone want to come and spend a gig or two with Big Mix, you're more than welcome. We cover: Northampton, coventry, Rugby, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Milton Keynes etc. Be advised, if it's a Wedding and we're in our full tux and black tie gear, you'll need to be dresed in at least shirt and tie. Hope to hear from...erm...someone heheheh Darren Ps We don't atually need the extra muscle even though it's most welcome, there are two of us already, but just to come and look at how a blind git operates his equipment has gotta be worth a look ;) Hi Darren I have just started up business in Northamptonshire about 6 months ago. I would relish the oportunity to see how another Mobile Disco Operates. Maybe you could teach me this "Reading the Crowd" lark I hear so much about.... I seem to have the abbility to fill a dancefloor, but have this bad habbit of clearing it in one song too...lol Nick
NRG Roadshow 0
Hi Has this topic died, there dosn't seem to have been much activity. I have had no response from hugmaster. Is their anyone else local to Northamptonshire that would be willing to take me along to a gig to see how the profesionals do it (and I dont mean boody and doyle neither!). Cheers Nick
brianmole 0
This topic has been in my mind recently, unless SOMEONE does SOMETHING about it, NO ONE will. I'm looking at putting together some kind of training workshop in the new year. If you want to learn the basics of mixing, get in touch in January. We'll see what we can do. Anyone have a free venue near my house?

Anyone have a free venue near my house? Right! As sorting out a venue costs, and getting people together is not easy, I think the best way forward is this: If YOU want to learn how to mix, I can give you the necessary training, and show you how it works. II will ask you to come to my house one weekday evening in Horsham with your weapons, and show you how to get the most of it. If a load of people want to learn, then Marc and I can hire a venue, put in some gear and run a workshop, but this will cost you.

asest 0
This work shop sounds a great idea, myself and my fiancee Emma will both definately be interested. Possibly another 2 members of our company too. We mainly do Karaoke events, and we use a self-mix pc programme at the moment for Disco's, but Marky Marcs display at the SEDA meeting back in November has had me hyped up to learn how to mix! I hate using the PC, but until I've learned and practiced how to mix, I certainly wont feel confident doing it any other way. In all honesty though, it is my opinion that PC software for mixing compared to live mixing is absolute rubbish. For the moment at least. So, bring on the work shop! 1 thing though... how much cost are we talking? Could we do a performance based pay system. E.g, you turn me into the best mixing DJ in the world, and I'll pay u a one-ner? or, if i learn nothing, ill pay u nothing? lol
DJ Marky Marc 0
No one is asking for any payment as yet... just sort out your time so that you can visit at regular intervals and learn something..... <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>
