yourweddingdisco 0
Ok, I think we need to try and get the ball rolling on the next East Anglian DJ meet. Ideally the Sunday has already been roughly decided on being the best day, however, a few of us DJs may well be out at Wedding fairs and shows around the Jan/Feb/March period, so it may well be a bit of an odd one to arrange. We wont be always able to please everyone. I like the idea of getting Xmas out the way, and relaxing over January. Febuary is a busy time for Wedding fairs for me and other wedding djs, and although i dont want to sound selfish, id like the date to be Sunday 2nd March 2008? Is this acceptable for everyone? WOW - you are a hard man to track down! Might be a good plan to give Quinney a quick call, I know he's been leaving you messages. I've PM'd you a couple of times too - maybe it's not working? Before we steamroll on with Feb, as the collective agreed for you, Quinney and myself to work towards the next meeting, it might be a good plan for us to talk outside of the forum, set some jobs for each of us to do and get some of it done before we start the wider discussion. I have an email mailing list and some contact details from the last meeting which will certainly help. Drop me a PM, email or call me Adam and we'll see what happens. Just from my point, the 2nd is really no good at all, sorry

Revelationroadshow 0
Adam - I have just sent you a PM - let me know if you get it or not as there's a question about this coming Thursday!
Revelationroadshow 0
Just wanted to bring the old Eastern region back to life again - lots happening behind the scenes guys, so don't think we're giving up just yet. Many thanks to Quinny and Adam - hopefully one of these chaps will be able to post details of a venue for the feb meet any day (counting on you). We will also make sure we circulate everything by email as well as we did last time. Not sure if we have had much joy with a retailer to join us - I know it was rather dissapointing to not have the guys from Cambridge with us. If anyone has links with a good shop in the area, let one of us know. Oh and anyone seen the latest issue of Pro-Mobile? We're famous! Have a little looky at the NADJ report towards the back.....
yourweddingdisco 0
Sorry for the lack of update guys, Been a bit busy during Crimbo & NY, and been fixing and diagnosing the fault on Matts poorly Martin Miniman Anyway, the good news, is that we have a retailer on board. I think its vital in selecting a retailer that is able to offer equipment for both the beginner DJs as well as the DJs that like to spend out. Ive decided to introduce "Ipswich Disco Supplies", and they have agreed to come along to the next show with a trailer load of gear. LED gear, HD gear, speakers, lights, amps, consumables will all be brought along. So thats a winner I know me and Qunniy spoke a few weeks ago in regards to the "content" of the next show, so that so far is sorted. At the moment are next task is to find a venue that is available and within easy reach for us ALL. I know those that came to the last meet, think its acceptable to spend UPTO an hour travelling, however we may have to move it up and around till we find a set venue that is flexible and applicable to us always. We will keep you posted! Their dealers for the likes of Cortex

Revelationroadshow 0
But no mention of DJU and the support? I didn't say I wrote the article, or indeed asked them to pop it in there, but nice to get any form of publicity really. The plans for the next one are well underway I believe.

Revelationroadshow 0
Date and location hasn't been confirmed here. Am I correct in saying its going to be in Thetford (venue tba) on Feb 10th? Tony, Although I am very much taking a back seat for the Feb meet, I have had conversations with Quinny and Adam today to talk through the content and give some advice. Should be finalising the more formal sessions tomorrow, so watch this space. Adam also suggested there had been some on-line discussion which had turned a little heated with reference to the NADJ involvement. Anyone know where that happened? For the record, we have so far done nothing more than allow NADJ to attend the first meeting and offer advice. What happens in the region moving forward is our own choice, not anyone elses. Where there have been press releases or comments made by NADJ or any other group or forum, these have been done without any direct involvement from those of us involved in the organisation to date. However, any publicity and support is always a good thing! Watch this space for the next meeting guys...
Dukesy 0
For the purpose of clarity and transparancy, who is we and us? Please could you clarify, indicating who?
Revelationroadshow 0
For the purpose of clarity and transparancy, who is we and us? Please could you clarify, indicating who? Certainly, We / us would refer to myself, Adam and Quinny as voluntary representatives of the DJ's who attended the first meeting. Those who attended the first meet will already know that Adam and Quinny responded (with no objection) to a request for assistance in ongoing organisation of these meetings and as such the short term organisational work will be shared between us untul such a time that the group as a whole come to a concensuss about the future and ongoing role of this venture. I would certainly expect that any longer term plans will involve the creation of elected roles and responsibilities within the group. For now, it's just early days and I hope an oportunity for more of us to have the oportunity to develope a closer working relationship in the East Anglian region. For the record, can I offer up my thanks to Andrew and Adam for there hard work so far towards the Febuary event. Full details I am sure will be circulated early next week.
Mighty Quinn 0
Certainly, We / us would refer to myself, Adam and Quinny as voluntary representatives of the DJ's who attended the first meeting. Not forgetting Kaz who has spent literally weeks putting together a data base of almost every disco and dj in the East Anglia region. Upto over 400 now and still going strong. Well done mate.
