Its DJU Member website review time again - this time it's for new DJU member Eazy, of Eazy Entertainments.

 

Eazy has this to say about his website, in it's current form:

 

as a new member thought id offer up my web site for a laugh i know its bad already lol but always up for other people to get stuck in lol addy is www.eazyentertainment.co.uk have fun lol its just a big photo album really lol

I think the key question that needs to be asked is who / what is this site for?

 

If it's a social network site you share with your friends, it's fine..

 

If it's a sales portal to get you work, it's completely unsuitable.

 

Firstly, the bouncing "lady" on the homepage (and infact the homepage itself). Put yourself in your target audience's shoes... If you wanna do 18th birthday parties for men, it's great....

 

If you want to do well paid weddings, or anniversaries, or older birthdays etc, would they want to see that? Along with a "let me know what you think" etc... There is no "hook" for them to want to go further, as you have probably put them off straight away..

 

I haven't got a lot of time to review it in its entirety, will do so when I have a chance, but thats my first thought....

The first thing that caught my eye was the bouncing lady on the main page

Whats that there for?

Do you market yourself as a Party DJ?

 

Some clients may find this off putting. IMHO

 

The other thing is the poor grammar and "txt talk" on the website.

 

It seems poorly organised IMHO

 

I presume in the area you work in and the venues - theres a market for MMS messaging?

 

A good idea - but how often does it get used?

 

But all in all - theres nothing (i can see) that tells anyone what you do or what services you offer etc.

 

Theres loads of photos all on different pages - which again makes the main page long and repetitive .

 

 

Just a few comments - Please dont take them as bad things, Just constructive critisim smile icon

ive been found out lol i know absolutley nothing about websites lol it seems popular with my punters who always like to see themselfs out drinking lol keep saying im gonna redo it but never get round to it as for the bouncy girlie ??? she was put there by a girl who first desined the site for me as part of a tec course lol have said i was gonna remove her several times but get people wanting her to stay lol to be honest i only really use the site to promote bars im in or things im up to not a big fan of wedding would rather be sticking to residencies . who knows if i ever learn who to use macromedia properly i might fix it lol ps no offence taken i just thought i'd stick it up here for people to see who wrong you can do a website lol keep them coming its just a big bebo lol

I love the bouncing girl on the homepage, she has to stay!! I don't think there are enough photos of me on the site, but I can live with that. I think it's a great wee social site but not a good piece of self-promotion. I suppose it's all about what you want the site to be. Still better than mine anyway!!!

I think that sums the site up.

Loads of photos, good, bad and ugly. Showing loads of people out on a typical weekend binge drinking session.

Nothing there to try to sell yourself (well I didn't find any).

Leave it as it is for a photo bucket.

Get another designed for the business.

 

One BIG BIG BIG disappointment..... the booby click me girl on the front page didn't expose herself when clicked :karen: , go on everybody admit they thought that too :bouncy:

Well, a clever bit of Flash work may well supply what Jim so badly needs! :dan+ju:

 

I'm not going to criticise the site itself, as its owner knows the situation already;

What I will say though is keep an eye on your use of apostrophes - you seem to be using them in plurals where they shouldn't be - this makes the site look like something written by a 10 year-old.

For example, there should be no apostrophe in the following: (collected from the main page)

Discos

Photos

Competitions

Prices

 

Also, maybe turn your e-mail link into a clickable link - this just makes it more accessible.

 

Maybe also have a more obvious entry point than that rather attractive (and seriously distracting!) bouncing lady. Leave her as she is by all means, but perhaps also include a 'CLICK HERE TO ENTER' link.

 

When or if you decide to turn the site into a more serious advertising tool, I'm sure we can really pull it to shreds for you! smile icon

cheers for the feedback gotta say kinder than i antisapated lol as for my english well i'll just say this ( G.C.S.E ) - F :dan+ju: then left school as for the bouncy girlie ??? as i said before it really is 50/50 on people like or dislike what to do ??? have concluded possably will redo the home page without her but dedacate a whole page just to her lol problem is possably some people dont go any further into the site cause of offence others mayby cause they are hypnotized :dan+ju:

Just a note to anybody that struggles with spelling, why not use the spell checker that comes with most writing programmes, also enable your browsers spell check function.

I think it looks like a young lads site for lads and ladets, not a professional looking DJ's website.
