titansounds 0 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Share Posted December 10, 2007 all my music on my laptop is track1.mp3 and i know there is programs that tags the whole album so when searching in pcdj it will come up with the correct song does anyone know of a good one to use ? D.X 0 Posted December 11, 2007 Report Share Posted December 11, 2007 Depending on how you name your tracks will make tagging easy or hard. Mine are like this ...... Artists - Trackname I load all the files up in a program called mp3tag and you can adjust the settings to "Transfer Filename Into Tag" and everything before the hyphen goes into the Artist bit and everything after goes into the Trackname bit. You can have as many hyphens as you like and set it so each bit goes wherever you want, Album, Artist, Trackname etc. However you want to tag them to suit your personal preference. Once that's done all my tracks are loaded into their respective genre folders so I open say, the Eighties folder and batch edit the genre tag. You could easily tag your whole collection in 5 minutes.
