What Song Do You Want Played At Your Funeral?

Recommended Posts

Not the cheeriest of subjects but one that I know a lot of people have thought about. Anyone picked a song out yet?

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

A little anecdote I once heard, and do believe its true.

Peter Sellars talking to Milligan and Bentine - "I know what I want played at my funeral - Glenn Miller - In the mood."

Milligan & Bentine both saying, "What??? we know you hate Glenn Miller"

and so it WAS played.

Now imagine the scene if you will. The coffin very slowly and sedately disappearing through the curtains . . . to the tune "In The Mood"

Apparently the congregation was rolling about

Pure genius, even after his death. :nbow:
