Hmmm, two in two days huh??? Quite amazing.

OK, here goes. How many disco's are you going to run in your basement? Weekly? Monthly? a one-off?

I suggest you forget the DJ software, and forget DMX. Just load Winamp on your laptop and the SquSoft crossfader. Configure that to output using the full range of visualisations. Hire or buy a Data Projector and run it as "Monitor 2" giving full screen to flood your room with wonderful sound created viz all synched to the music. (You may need to fit a wide angle projection lens to accomplish this.)

End of story, domestic bliss.

EDIT: Oh and by the way, :welcome: to the forum Scarface

well i am just jealous scarface, invite me over to a party bro.

the best way to approach the lighting i think is carefully as the head height is minimal.

try your local dj store and test drive some effects there, or browse online stores, plenty to choose from.

being an install there is plenty of scope for the sound system and lights to built in and i don't think you will need a gargantuan sound system in a room so small.

maybe a powered bass bin and some tops tastefully built in, i seen a retro dance floor for sale somewhere but cant remember where now. all lit up and flashing.

now that would be showing off smile icon

i reccommend you get your local sound / light guy in and maybe strike a deal with him to be honest, he will be able to eyeball the situation regarding power, room, noise level etc.

One thing to bear in mind, in such a small space you're going to only need very low power lights. LED's make sense as they also give off very little heat.

Knowing how much heat 4 discharge lamps give off in my living room after 15 mins, you'd also need to consider heat proofing the walls and ceiling where they would be mounted.
