I'm sure this question comes up a lot but I need to get my hands on some equipment insurance which must include storing equipment off premises, ie at a venue.if pli is built in then this is ideal. I already have 2m cover but I think this needs to go to 5m ideally.

Any suggestions welcome,

Thanks

Dave

Do you have to give the insurance company a list of all your gear before you take the insurance out?

After hearing about Dans recent loss, and Daves (RicTic) I am feeling I should get specialist cover.

@Funk, I can't see anything on E & L for disco equipment, it only shows musical instruments.

I'm pretty sure DJ Guard include cover whilst in a venue, but only as long as its all locked up or someone is keeping an eye on it - you'd have to read their small print though.

The NADJ have just had a special policy made for members, which is worth a look as its cheaper than DJ Guard, even including the cost of membership - its also the only policy on the market to include unnocupied vehicle cover.

Looking at E & L, they cover all risks (including unattended vehicles) for £148 (+20% for unattended = £177.60) plus £1.25m PLI.
