Karl 0
A DJ show would be great, out of interest though what would be at this show?
Gary 0
A DJ show would be great, out of interest though what would be at this show? That's what I asked, a few posts ago, before the thread so off-course, I had to click the heels of my Ruby Slippers together three times and recite "There's No Place Like Home"... to get back... So...(echo)... If you saw a mini- "DJ Show South West" advertised in somewhere central in the Devon area, which 10 manufacturers/retailers/DJ services would you really want to see there and what would be the maximum time/distance which you would be prepared to travel to the mini-show IF all 10 of your listed "Favs" were in attendance ? (to be fair, a few of you have mentioned that you would rather not travel all that far..., but what sort of milage would you consider doing IF there was interesting product on display at the show? 3 miles? 5 miles? 12 minutes each way tops...?) andyw 0
i think most of us would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to support a show. ,for me personally if a good show was on anywhere within 2 hrs drive i would attempt to make it
jamesmurphy 0
That's why I felt Taunton would be good. Easy access via Motorway and not too bad from the likes of me either
DJJEG 0
Well got some great feedback on a South West Show, just goes to show there are a few of us down ere A lot points made about location, well i dont think we can please everyone i would like it to be in my home town but it aint gonna happen Frankij is currently doing a d.js contact list for south west d.js (Bristol downwards i think) get yourself on this list i think it would prove helpful Also i have a very good contact with prolight & skytronic, thats only two i know but i am sure with enough intrest we can get the others on board

Spear 0
Westoint... :ads: 10 minutes away for me & Westy. Been drinking, I think you need a "Pee" Taunton or Exeter fine with me :grouphug: Educating the young in the ways of the old
Andy Westcott 0
A 'pee' was indeed required... I still think Exeter would be better as we have some members well down 'there'. Maybe compile a list of interested parties and ten stick a pin in the middle...
pdarnett 0
Good luck guys, little acorns and all that. We still have to chase exhibitors every year and it's our fourth one this year! It doesn't get any easier (or cheaper), we almost self sufficient now, money wise but its taken the last four years. get some good seminars as well, it's something we've never done but done right can be very worthwhile. We let everyone exhibit for free on our first year and the door cost almost covered the venue cost (just remember to ask them how much power they need)....
