Corabar Steve 0
so will this work with the i colour and the starville .click Not unless you can find some way of changing the end from a jack plug to a 3 pin XLR As previously stated you will need a CA32, iColors DO NOT have jacks CA8s do & even then it's debateable that they would do what you want them to. norty303 0
The CA8 is a proprietery controller that works by it's own methods implemented into the light/s in question. the CA32 i believe works using the DMX protocol. A straight forward DMX desk will give you access to all the same functions. DIY plans and pro audio related technical discussions www.speakerplans.com/forum
Steve_Mitchell 0
I`ve got 2 icolour 3`s with a c8 controller. I love them, brill colour wash. Corabar Steve 0
I`ve got 2 icolour 3`s with a c8 controller. I love them, brill colour wash. I put 1 behind each sub and light the wall behind me. I take it you mean CA8? If so how do you manage to connect the jack plug from the CA8 to your iColors? All 8 of the iColor 3s that we own have no jack sockets, only XLR. Do you use some sort of adaptor? & can you get all the options that the CA32 (which is the controller they come with when you buy a bundle) gives you? Corabar Steve 0
I'm pretty sure they are identical to the Acme versions, so no. Steve... Corabar Steve 0
So how limited is the CA8 compared to the CA32? Steve... Steve_Mitchell 0
So how limited is the CA8 compared to the CA32? Never used CA32. With Ca8 I can put the i colour to flash (chase) at varies speeds to the music, I can choose a single colour in static and I can dim the colours. Slow the speed down and it will change colour on their own. Also controls black out with the controller. Oh and the controller has a strobe function. I love them, very ambiant for the venues I work at. Steve 5 European cups and 18 leagues, that`s what we call history.
Corabar Steve 0
So really only the advanced features like only choosing red & green (for example) to chase are missing Steve... Steve_Mitchell 0
So really only the advanced features like only choosing red & green (for example) to chase are missing If I wanted a certain colour I would have to gothrough the motions to get to it. eg, if I wanted red, I may have to do blue, yellow and green first. The other controller my go straight to red? The chase is the whole light. You culdn`t just choose red and green.
