New Scanners

Hey Guys!

 

I'm looking to invest into some new scanners, possibly 4.

 

Now i've been looking at the Acme range especially the Dynamos, and have been pretty impressed.

 

If i was going to buy the dynamo package it's cost around £340. Is there any other scanners that are around the same price range? I.E 4 for around £350?

I have two dynatwins for sale if your interested.

Each one is the same as two dynamos with the advantage of it not taking so long to hang on the truss.

 

Let me know if your interested.

 

Ask for 4 scanners in the same price bracket, I dont think thier is really.

I have 4 of the Acme Dynamos in a flightcase and I have only used them twice. They are great scanners but I find myself using my LED lights and the Acme Dynarocks a lot lately.

 

I could be interested in selling them if you are interested. All DMX cables included etc.

I`ve got 3 x Soundlab colour scans for sale plus the DMX controller.. All in excellent condition. The heads retail at about £125 each..

 

You can have 3 heads and the DMX controller for £250.... Mine are not in a case but here is an example of 2 heads and the controller.

I think i'll stick with the Dynamos, as i prefer the look of single scanners rather than the twin ones!

 

Would it be possible for a video of the scanners steve?

I have the 100w versions and use them on a DMX controller.

 

Lots of great things about the dynamos

- Cheap!

- Cheap bulbs. Though i bought mine second hand, used about 5 evenings and no bulb have gone yet.

- Light

- Easy to get the case for to protect them.

 

Not so great

- On slow movement they are pretty jerky. They are better for fast movement

- Combined gobo/ colour where so not too many options

- Strobing not very bright in my opinion.

If you google you can find them for £435 a set and they have seperate gobo, colour wheel etc, 250W. Also they have a thumbscrew cover to protect the mirror whilst transporting. I have not seen a case of them though so you might need to get one made.

Had a look on You tube and can`t find anything.. They have a 250w halagen lamp.. The top 4 are the scans..
