gadget 0
I remember looking at them about a year ago. There was one without a cover and it looked like a little hoist used to get equipment up onto the gantry. I think they have SPECS on the A1(M), are they on the yellow poles? Traffic Master sensors are usually on dark blue masts/brackets. Jim OT WARNING ******* On the M6 from Stafford up, there are signs about every third of a mile on the side of the motorway about 1 foot square that have numbers on them going up in .5 increments, anybody know what they are? They have just put them on the M61 too. They've been on the M6 for a while now - I think I heard they were for identifying where you are on the motorway.. I have a feeling the increments are in km, not miles though. Bit of a funny hoist to have on a traffic info sign, as there isn't really much of a gantry to them (apart from behind the sign itself, and unline the ones that run the full lane or motorway width. The SPECS are on the roadworks just north of the A64 turnoff on the A1. Where it looks like they're changing the old A1 to the A1(M). 50Mph zone. Just checked the speedcamerasuk site and it says nothing about the camera's I'm on about :/ But there's definitely lots of piezo sensors in the road as you pass them!
