dj007 0
Hi guys and gals as the title says, the beast has landed. in other words Alienwares new M15X Laptop. if your looking for a new laptop and youve just won the lottery then look no further. with all the posts lately showing off all the new LED lighting effects i thought id show you something different. the AW m15x is the fastest laptop on the planet (at the moment). the m17x was released yesterday for pre orders only. this laptop has a 2.8 ghz processor with 4gb of ram and 2 graphics cards. the on board graphics card and the indipendant 512 8800gtx graphics card. it also has dual soundcards, onboard and the x-fi sound blaster from creative. the main reason im posting this is to show you how AW have used led's for the keyboard. using the AW-FX you can change the colours to suite your mood. heres a few pics. i tried to upload themusing forum but it couldnt find the page. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c11/MrDJJim/Mr%20DJs/IMGP1859.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c11/MrDJJim/Mr%20DJs/IMGP1860.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c11/MrDJJim/Mr%20DJs/IMGP1861.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c11/MrDJJim/Mr%20DJs/IMGP1862.jpg to read more about the computer click here Alienware Website IF IT MOVES, FUNK IT. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

dj007 0
you can deactivate any of the lights. youve got the alien head on the lid, the mousepad, the touch sensitive controls and the light pipe around the edge of the screen. i know they are an expensive gimmick but it was the speed of the machine that made me buy it. Gary 0
Are the lights controlled by a hardware button to change the colour/mode, or a software screen of drop-downs and tick boxes etc?
dj007 0
Are the lights controlled by a hardware button to change the colour/mode, or a software screen of drop-downs and tick boxes etc? the latter Gary. if you look at the last picture it shows the AW-FX screen. you have a drop down menu on the left to choose what you want to change and then just press the colour on the main screen.
