At What Age Did You Start Dj'ing?

I was 'DJ'ing' on and off from my teens to my early adult life, but I would say I 'officially started DJing around the age of 19 - 20, taking a deeper interest!

 

At what age did you start 'officially' DJ'ing?

 

(although I went full-time at the age of 28, I still feel that I officially started DJ'ing earlier!)

and I was 30 yrs old.

I started as a roadie in 1987 and became a part time DJ in 1988 so i was 18 years old

I became a full time DJ in about 2003

started out when i was 25 , had played guitar in bands before that since i was about 19 but got fed up with all the arguing that came with it so decided that dj'ing and karaoke would be less stressful as i could only fall out with myself :dan+ju:

Been going round since I was 8 with my uncle, but started getting paid at schools when I was 11.

Bedroom DJ at 12 with two old turntables used to mix from one to the other then started paid gigs at 17.. I'm 44 this year OUCH!!!!!

Built some dedicated disco gear (lights, speakers) around 1980, to replace the domestic gear I was using up 'till then, so that's my 'official' start date, although there have been a few periods of dissillusionment and cessation between then & now.

 

I'm now sorted better than I ever have been, (even got a van!) so consider I've gone through a bit of a re-birth where discos are concerned in the last couple of years.
