Need a 6pin Lead, everyone seems to try and sell me XLRs

Any ideas?

Also, can you do anything else with 2/3 datamoons like programs etc?

Cheers all

I think your find the datamoons are fitted with a 5 pin xlr.

I brought two converters for ebay 5 pin male to 3 pin female and 5 pin female to 3 pin male, then you can use standard 3 pin dmx leads.

There a few controllers for the datamoons, the NJD AR 1 is a small hand held unit ,like the CA 8/9.

hope this helps

if in doubt, take photos of the rear end of the datamoons and post them here?

There's at least one expert on here who can usually help, superstardeejay - a massive wealth of technical knowledge!

Ive got 4 datamoons they are all 5pin xlr - however they dont need more than a normal data signal to run (ie twin cable with screen)

so a 3 pin xlr lead will do with the adapters you can buy....

But you'll find that the adapters make the leads stick out too far from back of the datamoons and can easily be knocked downwards damaging the pins.... reccomend CPC and buy 5pin xlr ready made leads in whatever legnth you need.. quite cheap

Best way to control them is using the NJD contoller similar to this one in the link....

But this aint the actual conroller, just looks exactly like it... Just ring them up and order one, their very helpful at NJD, the controller allows colour, gobo, rotate speed, reverse/forward, blackout and sound to light speeds and settings.... its dead easy and quick to say produce pink stars on a dance floor etc etc
