BPM Show 2008 Donnington Park Exhibition Centre

Sat 18th & Sunday 19th October

promo blurb:

BPM is Europe’s biggest event dedicated to DJs, producers and performers.

The first BPM took place in 2007 and attracted over 2200 visitors for two days of equipment demonstrations, networking, seminars, workshops, live performances and DJ sets. Visitors and exhibitors alike hailed the event as a resounding success, cementing BPM’s place in the industry calendar.

Over the weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October 2008 BPM will return to Donington Park Exhibition centre for what promises to be an even bigger and better event. The leading equipment manufacturers and distributors will present their latest technology for you to look at, but more importantly get your hands on. BPM is an opportunity to try out the latest equipment and speak to the people behind it, and then if you find what you are looking for – buy it!

The exhibition area not only plays host to equipment brands, but also a range of service providers ranging from CD duplicators to flyer printers and music promo services to DJ associations. Find out what is available, talk face-to-face with suppliers and make the contacts that will help to set you apart from the crowd.

BPM is also the ideal place to meet and network with other DJs, producers and performers, share ideas and be inspired to move forward. Plenty of promoters and agents also attend the show, which makes it the ideal place to hook up with people who can help you make the next step.

The main stage and other performance and demonstration areas play host to DJ sets, live PAs and product and technique demonstrations. BPM is the place to be inspired to move to the next level.

The new Reloop ‘Digital Jockey’ controller will make its UK début at BPM. Completely dedicated to the future, the Digital Jockey makes playing, mixing and manipulating music from a computer's hard disc as easy as using a DJ CD-player and a mixing console.

The ‘Ultimate Draw’ prize pile continues to grow, with the addition of two DDM4000 mixers from Behringer (one for each day’s draw. The DDM4000 is a state-of-the-art 32-bit digital DJ mixer, jam-packed with creative tools, yet its intuitive layout will make you feel at home in an instant; editing, storing and recalling your settings is simply a breeze!

The latest addition to the massive collection of gear up for grabs is a Road Ready RRSTANDT portable table worth £150.

BPM has negotiated a special 25% introductory discount for DJs and KJs who need the ProDub Licence.

If you are serious about DJing, performing or producing you need to be at BPM!

YouTube phenomenon DJ Tutor will be hosting a series of ‘DJ Clinics’ at this year’s BPM. The short clinics will take place on the hour, every hour, throughout the weekend; with each session covering a different specific area of DJing. Visitors will be given practical demonstrations, together with plenty of useful advice, invaluable hints and useable tips. Each session will be followed by an opportunity for visitors to ask questions and receive one-to-one tutoring.

The DJ clinics will cover various topics, including turntabalism & scratching, beat-matching and mixing specific styles of music such as RnB, Bangrah and DnB. Full details of the Clinics will be listed on the BPM website soon and each clinic will be filmed and then posted on YouTube and djtutor.com.

The sessions will be hosted by the UK’s DJ Tutor Johnathan AKA Ellaskins who will be joined by special guests from across the UK as well as his US counterpart Brian AKA Briansredd who will be flying in especially for the event. This will be first time that the two DJ Tutors have been together in the UK.

DJ Tutor will also be hosting the ‘BPM Diary Room’, which will give BPM visitors the opportunity to film their own videos sharing their personal experiences of the event. These videos will then be uploaded to djtutor.com in real time, giving internet users all over the world a glimpse of the BPM experience.

The BPM exhibition area is the perfect place to see, try and buy the latest equipment and also meet and do business with service providers, agencies, media companies and training providers. The following companies have already booked space to exhibit at BPM, many more exhibitors will be confirmed in the coming weeks and months.
