Whilst I do have a copy of it, I have never been asked for it and it appears a bit on the slow side initally, although I like it. Have I missed something?? Link to post Share on other sites

Had about three people (over 40) come up and ask what is the name of this track and who sings it. It is a memory jogger for the over 40 crowd. I play it when I can at the right event also love it myself. And yes there is a dance remix doing the rounds so might not be just over 40 crowd anymore. Link to post Share on other sites

I bought an album of theirs years ago - 'The Essential', a double CD, but have never played anything by them at a disco. One day soon, if I judge the timing to be right (which knowing me it won't be) I'll give it a spin. I see Journey only ever had two UK chart entries - this song and 'Who's Crying Now', neither of which entered the top 40 - getting to Nos. 62 & 46 respectively. Link to post Share on other sites

Hmm, must be some sort of cult type track. There were alot of these type tracks in the early 80's most of which were minor hits. It had a mini-revival a few years ago when it was used on an episode of Scrubs (when JD wanted to get a Journey cover band at Carla and Turk's wedding). It's real resurgence came about when it was used in the closing scene of the very last ever episode of The Sopranos. (Tony is clearly seen choosing the track on a diner jukebox, it then plays out a hugely anti-climactic end sequence with no dialogue). It's a great tune and always goes down well, as does the George Lamond dance version. Another Journey track you might recall is "Anyway You Want It" which I think was used on one of the Caddyshack films back in the eighties. I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services.
