This years show was the last DJ Show North, we've done what we set out to do, which was to provide the North with a viable dj exhibition.

 

Our footfall this year was not as we expected ( 656 people through the doors over the course of the day ) and this has been the most difficult year ever for us as the industry had collectively tightened its purse strings, so many thanks to all the exhibitors that put their money where their mouths were and backed us for the fourth year.

 

I (Paul) also believe that DJ's priorities have changed this year and they are no longer as keen to attend product awareness type events such as ours in favour of events where they can "barter for a bargain", and this is a shame as local retailers really got behind us in support of our type of event, because if people are buying at shows, they're not buying over their counters.

 

We didn't want to compromise what we set out to do by turning the event into a giant sale room/ bargain competition and decided this week that we'd call it a day while we were still ahead. These reasons, combined with the ever growing workload on our team led us to this this decision.

 

We hope you've enjoyed the last 4 years and there's a few other shows that wouldn't exist had we not put ourselves out on in limb back in 2005 and inspired them, so good luck to them.
