Neil of the Roadshow 0
Anyone got any experience of the 500 watt kind. RX Bass and top and XT middle? Bit vague I know, but looking at a stack and looking for any positive / negative experiences. Cheers folks If the numbers are movin', the decks a runnin'

supersound dj 0
the Xt are old units with an Xt compression horn and a black widow bass driver.I believe they are the carpet ones with a blue band on the grill.Heavy large and sound good in tipm top condition. Bouncy Dancefloor 0
ah i know them rather well then they would be the Hisys XT range? we have approx 6 pairs of the Hisys 2's and 2 pairs of the 118 bass cabs, good workhorses, good sound and you can pick them up VERY cheap nowadays we are currently in the process of moving our hire stock over to the latest range which are wood finish with flat foam grill, they weight alot less and sound "Less American" if anyone knows what that means (horn is less harsh)
spinner 0
At one time I had 2 pairs of 115RX bass bins. Quite good but heavy. I was rather put off them by the fact that both Black Widow drivers in the first pair failed after 5 gigs. Nothing to do with over driving. They were poorly assembled and some metal flakes had got into them causing the failure.
Bouncy Dancefloor 0
the Black widow baskets have been very much re-designed approx 18 months to 2 years ago. Before that point we'd have very few failures, since then LOADS. The biggest culprit is the little Tails coming detached from the Driver itself
