Big B 0
Me and my wife have a wedding planning business and we have worked with lots of DJ's in the past, so on the other side of the coin we have only had good experience with DJ's Big B's Mobile Disco Crystal Wedding Fayres info@bigbdisco.co.uk 08445 040 841(option 2) 07547 686920
disco4hire 1
What's your experience? Good? Bad? Opinions? I've worked with a few and found them generally positive and professional, but did come across one who was rather obsessive with minute detail, and it wasn't that 'big' an event. Kingy 0
Worked with several, only found one to be totally obnoxious. This particular one has appeared on TV too!!!
Award Entertainment 0
Generally speaking I enjoy working with them. I get in contact a week or more before the wedding and introduce myself, letting them know that I'm keen to work in with them and help make the wedding as special as it can be for our mutual clients. I also offer my runsheet at the rehearsal so we can see if there's any area where we're not on the same page, so we can iron out difficulties before they arise. They love that I'm happy to work with them and they love that I'm organised and professional. I appreciate the same about them.

Danno13 0
I've worked with one once, she was very good.. not controlling, but organised and helped the night (and presumably the day, but I wasn't there then!) flow well. (She also had a good looking daughter who kept me company during the early evening boring time ) I'm currently working with a Wedding planner who's interested the Uplighting and Starcloth services I also offer, with two clients wanting these next year. So, they're also good in that respect too, once you've shown what you can do, they'll do all the selling for you and bring in the bookings! Dukesy 0
I've worked with a few over the years, some are really great and some are not. I actually try to avoid working for Wedding Planners as from experience, they try to negotiate a lower price to save their client money and they can not guarantee enough work to justify. If you've never worked for or with a wedding planner, its very much worth it. smile icon
Award Entertainment 0
Working with a wedding planner is different to GETTING work FROM a wedding planner. I find that if I execute my duties with style, flair and professionalism and make sure that I'm a pleasure to work with, that the planner recommends me for free, even though I'm expensive. Dukesy 0
Of course, business recommendations are different to working for or with. I've never met a wedding planner yet who misses out on either their finders fee or some form of remuneration before 'recommending' services. Why on earth would they subsidise wedding services? Personally, I follow the principle not to say that I'm expensive as it can be construed to be more of a negative than a plus in our line of business.
Award Entertainment 0
Very well... I'm reassuringly expensive.
