Eurovision Guilty Pleasures

Recommended Posts

Ok folks, we're giving Eurovision an awful slagging on here, and it's probably justified. But there are bound to be some songs from the contest that bring a smile to your face. (My mum still loves Johnny Logan). I'll kick off with a few favourites:

Save All Your Kisses For Me - Brotherhood Of Man

Take Me To Your Heaven - That Swedish Bird (will look it up later)

The Worrying Kind - The Ark

Love City Groove - Love City Groove

Go on, what whould you give 12 points to?

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

L’oiseau et l'enfant was the name of the 1977 winner, sung by Marie Myraim in French for France by a Portugese singer.

Chanson d'Armor was a hit in 1977 by Manhattan Transfer

.....but what do I know ?

Oh come on, there are loads of good eurovision songs!

Abba - Waterloo

Bucks Fizz -Making Your mind up

Bardo - One Step Further

Gina G - Ooh Ah

Guildo Horn - Guildo Has Love For You

Lituantian Entry - Grandma beats the drum.

We watch it every year as an excuse for a get togather party and a few beers. We score the acts and predict the winner (or try to)

It's just a bit of fun and i'm sure that ALW and GN will provide a welcome change to proceedings

Thanks ... Dave

I have Chanson D'amour by Art & Dottie Todd from 1958. Incidentally, it's miles better than Manhattan Transfer's cover.
