Hello everyone I'm Mark, I just joined the forum yesterday. Well basically I've been DJing for about a year now. I started off being volunteered by the missus to DJ at my kids' school pta disco with their hired gear. Had such a great time I was hooked. Bought my own gear mainly from ebay. I now do kids/family/friends parties and discos for 2 schools' ptas. I hope that I can glean some good info from you guys. I already appreciate it's not just about playing music. I usually sweat buckets getting set up in time! and that's just the start. But I am enjoying it, when a party goes well and the kids and the parents enjoy it and thank you afterwards it's great and you can't wait till the next time.

Well that's all for now, must get back to work!

Cheers.

Mark.

welcome mate http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif

your in the right place.

with the kids parties ive found that if the kids go away telling the parents about how much they liked you they will book you in the future.

also found that a business card in each party bag helps loads as well

i'm always in the do do its just the depth that varies

Welcome, welcome, welcome... hope you like what youve been reading so far...

Bear in mind that December is a really busy time for everyone on here, youslf included, I suspect, so the forum might seem as quiet as other mobile forums are at a non~Christmas time of the year... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
