Dukesy 0
According to the Poll here on the question 'What do clients want from your disco, lighting wise?', over 59% voted 'My clients are not bothered how much lighting I use'. I'd like to believe that DJs choose disco equipment based on purpose (and of course reliability) so if the type of work catered for / demand is for small functions, or really, really big functions, the investment is more or less justified....isn't it! I quite agree with your reply of correct kit/amount for each seperate function. As for the poll results, the flaw with that in my opinion is the question is being answered by the d.j's and is not neccessarily the view of the clients is it!!
Dukesy 0
Ahh - but aren't all polls 'flawed'? Indications are one thing....I take your point. smile icon
McCardle 1
Does it look like i have a function one system... no im on peaveys, does it look like i have martin lighting... no im on acme! Im pretty sure my rig set up could be considered lower value than many of your yet im in there... they offer a range not just 1 type... infact last month was a mid point between us two... but surely we would want to see the higher end of the market, listen to their story and find out what they found to be sucessful. Anyone who chosen to ignore such articles isnt appricated the value that reading what made others so sucessful he can s:cense: as much money as he likes on a sound system... Barney, if you like writing articles, then why not write a few and upload them to a Squidoo Lens. If its popular enough, well written and you promote it well, you'll even be paid revenue for the traffic it generates. Better in your pocket than some editors eh?, and who knows, pen some popular ones and in a few months it might cover the cost of your laser. Dukesy 0
Barney, how about writing some DJ articles for the DJ Knowledgebase? http://www.djsite.info This site gets thousands of hits every month, and also allows readers to rate your articles. If you add a credit as an Author with your name and website link at the bottom of each article then you'll get some reasonable link juice and perhaps even get visitors to your site. smile icon I am also happy to accept well written articles in order to help clients too on the DJ@ website. http://www.djassociates.org We are mainly looking for articles such as helping potential clients to choose Wedding & DJ Services. If you want to submit an article to either site, then email me at the email address below with your articles and I'll happily add them to one or both sites. admin@djassociates.org Remember that you can add pictures of your rig to forum posts, and also links to any you tube videos. You can also take part in our DJU Interviews too, just like these other members have done here

Norfolk DJ 0
I've seen 3 copies of different issues. Reasonable content and used to have some decent playlists in there, but alot of adds and too many equipment reviews.
